You guys have done a really good job with all this. Are you interested in having music of some variety? Is there space for a band or a one man act? I guess we could just ask Whitlock to bring his guitar. :)

The reason I ask is because if you give me some parameters, I can come up with someone. I represent several musicians and I'm sure we could find someone that could play some oldies.

You know, I haven't gotten many ideas for what we'll actually do at the reunion. How much would a band cost? The ticket price only covers the cost of the food - Wesley is planning on taking up donations at the reunion to cover the cost of the restaurant rental and other expenses like postage. If the band wasn't too expensive - and I'll get Wesley to ask the restaurant and see if they allow it.

Thanks for the offer!
Jennifer

I was thinking about one guy in particular that plays a wide mix of things from the last 30 or so years and plays all over Huntsville, Decatur, the Shoals and Tuscaloosa and Auburn. If he is available that night and its alright with you guys and Top of the River I'll just schedule and I'll pay for it. The least I can do since you guys have worked so hard on this.

I called Top of the River. They don't allow music because they have a number of different rooms and it might disturb the other ones or something to that affect.

I was afraid they might not allow it. Well, we'll keep that entertainment in mind and plan it for our 20 year reunion. Maybe we'll get the ball rolling sooner for that one and have more options on a time and place. Thanks, Carl!

Anyone, what do you think of having a photographer at the reunion to take photos? We can have a formal area set aside for couple photos, and we can have a group photo made of the class, then we can have them walk around and snap informal photos that we can post here or what-not. I know I might like to have some photos to keep. :)

Hey Jen,

Only Problem I see with that is not all of us may be able to afford the pictures. Plus, would having them there disallow us from bringing our own personal cameras?

Not trying to be a killjoy, just something to think about.

Thank you for your opinion - that's what I want is other people's opinions! :)

No, that's fine if you bring your camera - I know I'll have mine - and to tell you the truth, I hadn't really thought of everyone having their own.

There are some photogs out there that will just run around at a party taking pics and then publish them all at a website. You can then pick which ones if any you want to buy from their website. It has been years since I've used one. In college we called them ZAPS, but I don't know if that is the business name. If there is need for pics beyond people's personal cameras, this might be the best way to go about it.

That's a good idea - I'll see if I can find a local one that wouldn't mind spending a few hours snapping pics in the hopes of raking in some money.
