Karl was a great guy. He and I were good friends in junior high and we were always goofing around in class. I can remember Karl and I always trying to get a pass from Mrs. Boris for photo club business. Unfortunately, I lost contact with him after high school and hearing the news of his passing really shocked me. He was always a great guy and there for you when you needed him. He's truly missed.

Karl was my brother Mike's best friend. He is still devastated to this day about the accident. If my brother had not worked that evening, he would have been driving with Karl on the evening he was killed. Karl pulled off the road to help someone who was stranded, and a truck pulling a boat got too close and hit him. He is truly missed, because he was a good, genuine person. I only lived in Satellite Beach for a little over 3-1/2 years, but I have good memories of the people I met there. Karl was definitely one of the good ones, and my brother misses him terribly. I hope his family members get to read this, because I want them to know there are people out there who think about him a lot, and remember what a good person he was. His kindness had a tremendous impact on their lives, and his family should know that.

I had the pleasure of meeting Karl through my sister's boyfriend, Wray Dunbar, when I was still in High School. It may sound really lame to some, but we played Dungeons and Dragons every other weekend. :) Karl was the world's biggest sweetheart. He would give you the shirt off his back or lend you a shoulder to cry on any time you needed one. He had the most awesome sense of humor and was such an intelligent and charasmatic person. We became good friends and he agreed to attend my Senior Homecoming with me. It was a great night! He said that he had never been to his own homecoming dances/proms and he was happy to have shared that experience with me. There are very few days, even now (12 years later), that I don't think about him and wonder who he might be today. No doubt he would still be just as compassionate and caring as he was way back then. You are sorely missed Karl! We will never forget you!
