Keith's Mom and Dad still live in Satellite Beach. Ruth is a crossing guard in front of Surfside. She is still like our home room mom helping out with our reunion. Look her up if your in the area. She would love to see you!
Grew up with Keith all through school he was a great friend for years.I remember all us rednecks camping on spider island in Satellite Beach. We used to go shark fishing ,there was this one time Keith and i were rowing the bait out off shore and our john boat flipped, and all the bloody bait was everywhere around us, Keith got hit in the head so i was trying to hold the boat and him and drag the boat and him to shore, well we made it to shore, and within 5 minutes we caught a 7 and a half foot shark. Well needless to say i didnt row the bait out much after that, Keith was great about takeing over the rowing out part knowing i was freaked out about the whole shark thing. He never made fun of me not wanting to go back out he just took over that job.We had some great times that will stay with me forever. You never could beat me in armwrestleing... Miss you man!!!!
You were lucky to be in Keith's class because that meant his mom would be the room mother! Keith was always a big ball of energy. I also remember Emily and Keith going out in 5th grade! He always had a lot of action going on in his life (the shark-fishing incident!)A memory of riding bikes around the streets of SB with Chris Aten, Vito, Emily and Keith also come to mind. You went way too early, Keith, and are truly missed, especially at this time.
Let's just say it was interesting growing up across the street from Keith. Once he was your friend, he was a dedicated and faithful one! We miss him dearly. I really enjoy seeing his mom when I make it back to Lee Ave. and talking about the old days. You went way too early, but you are probably watching down on us laughing that hearty laugh of yours. Sorry about the pogo-stick incident, but it does keep my kids entertained to hear the story. Rest in Peace, man.
Oh my I have so many crazy memories about Keith that I cannot help but smile when I think of him. We had so much fun. I can think of so many times that him, Brian Mayhew (wonder what happened to Brian) and I hung out and went to the baseball field. He could make me laugh and laugh.
Memories of Keith. All I can say is, "Wow". I was one of the gang that all grew up together from elementary to high school. Keith was always a great guy and like Cindy said, if Keith was in your class then, his mom was your room mother. He was a great guy and he's greatly missed.
