Thanks to Jeff & Oneta Spielman, Andy McClure, Ed & Laurie (Ecolono) Vieira, Lisa (Friedman) Medina and their families for a wonderful evening at Champps! We will make plans to get together again soon. Hopefully, Brandy, Bob and perhaps others will be able to share the event with us!

I have posted the few pictures that developed on my profile. Apparently, taking pictures in a room enclosed in glass is a "glary" endeavor. I've salvaged what I can!

Susan,
Glad you have insight into the boathouse. That helps. I wondered about showers and septic tanks and such.

I must have been one of the few seniors that didn't go on the Rocky Point trip. My parents refused to let me go. They believed that I would get into trouble (heck, I could do that in the States, well enough.) I am working on updating my passport as we speak, so if we go the Mexico way, I'm okay for that too. Gives me a chance to practice my Spanish.

However, if we're going to just go to Rocky Point, why not up the anty and go someplace nice that is all inclusive? Like Puerto Vallarta? Then you can get all the toys you want. You just wouldn't have the privacy. I do like the idea of privacy, though. Geez, pretty soon we'll be talking about going to an all inclusive in Bora Bora...

Calling all Sabercats! Calling all Sabercats! You were all so helpful when I was sunburnt from tubing. Now I've got another one for y'all.

My dog had a run in with a skunk last night at 3am! Who has experience with this? I've been applying a vinegar, baking soda mixture to him all night and morning. The problem is, he ran into the house before we could stop him. He was only inside a few minutes, but wow - that stench permeates FAST! How do I get rid of the smell in the house? That's worse than the dog now! HELP ME, SABERCATS!!

Kim, not sure about the house, but I hear tomato juice will work on the dog smell. Try going to Petsmart and see if they have anything for the carpets/floors.I bet they do. As far as the air...don't know. Guess you'll be investing in a lot of Glade. Good Luck!!

Tomato juice for the dog. Same thing happened to my sister Rhonda when she lived in CA. I just called her and she said they burned a lot of candles and used some air spray. Hope that helps.

Thanks, Susan. I use a 2 inch ball. I don't think I use a slider. (The hitch is bolted on under the truck and that's the part I messed up.)

Kim--My dog did that last year and rolled in the carpet. It takes about 3 months until it finally goes away. Not much you can do. Gotta love the dogs!

Thanks everyone for the skunk advice.

Laura - you and I are kind of neighbors. I'm in Burbank. Echo (the dog) ran into the house before we could stop him. He dove under the bed and it took about 5 minutes to get him back outside. Doesn't matter, though. That lovely aroma permeated the entire house within seconds! It all happened so fast, we were one step behind all the way.

I've got the smell down to a non-asphyxiating level now. I guess it just has to work its way the rest of the way out now.

Any connections out there with the class of 1980, i.e. do they have a reunion being planned, a website for the same, etc?

Mimi where have you been. It's now 2010 & this is now the class of 80 forum!

Puerto Vallarto looks like fun. Clean and pretty and reasonable, too, it seems. I noticed sailboats.

Perhaps we should vote so we can start planning.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RICH BAXTER!!!! We love you!

Yes, shame, shame Mimi! My dog & I drank all of the vodka to help forget about the skunk smell, so there's none left to send you. The tomato juice is in the mail, though...

Meemzee,
many go their entire lives with out being filled with the power of what is coming.....I have noticed in the news...some are already talking about it.

People are making plans....it is exiting!!!

I'm very happy that you have opened your mind up to me, and are willing to let me walk you down this road. I will prepare you.

Mimi,
Okay, that's cool. So, in that case, I'm sticking with the houseboat on Lake Powell idea.
Adios.

MiMi,
I was just talking to Nancy and I use to have a propane curling iron for camping & Mexico trips about 10 years ago. I will try and find it for the 4th!!

Mimi - we have a generator with TV/DVD, stereo/CD, microwave, coffee maker, etc. In our toy hauler. Not really "roughin it". Don't worry about the propane curling iron, you can plug in to us.
