2010 Prophecy

 “I PREDICT” 2010

Dr. Mark T. Barclay

Joel 2:1
I am calling the body of Christ to “general quarters” for all hands to man their battle stations.  This is not a drill; this is the real deal.

1.  I predict the “placebo” church will continue to mentally “soothe” and fool people, and the “mouth service only” Christians will be even more deceived.

2.  I predict a power surge of the Holy Spirit but only in the lives of severe believers, empowering them to pierce the darkness and overcome the coming calamities.

3.  I predict the true preachers will bring clarity to both world events and doctrinal issues.  The Lord will start to clean the pulpits of hireling preachers and those who are only in the “business” of the ministry.

4.  I see a terrible event in the government of our nation that could take decades from which to recover.  It will seize the attention of other nations, and they will also be forced to take emergency measures.

5.  Without the intense prayers of the Church and intervention by God, there will be increased unrest and even uprisings in the U.S., and the government’s attempt to squash them will miserably fail.

6.  Deeper hopelessness will set in the hearts of a multitude of people as finances continue to fail and government seems more and more out of touch with the everyday man.  Crime will be on the rise.

7.  There will be a rise in the new emerging belligerent church leaders, but at the same time we will see an increase of the “John the Baptist” style forerunners who will confront this with boldness in their mouth and fire in their belly.

8.  The great battle between the “prophet of the Lord” and the “prophets of the land” will initiate.  The pretend and fake churches (regardless of their size and fortune) will begin to show rot and corruption from the inside.

9.  I predict the launching of one of the greatest thrusts into the youth of our nation; and it will be with holiness, a demand for deliverance, and without compromise.  Young people will inquire what the Lord wants instead of what they want.

10.  I predict 2010 and its challenges will ignite new compassion in our hearts for the lost.  We will pluck them like brands out of the burning.  The darkness of the day and the pressure of demonic torment of their minds will drive many of them out of the world and into the Church.

11.  I predict that not only terrorism and crime will increase, but the threat of diseases and strange strains and mutations will make the populace extremely nervous. Even the sinner will begin to admit that the end is near.

12.  I predict great calamities as evil, invisible enemy soldiers attack without much resistance.  Some will lose their minds; others will walk away like the rich, young ruler and some will even blaspheme the Holy Spirit.  Better get in prayer and stay there.

13.  As I wrote in my latest book, The Day Ahead, these demons won’t be more ferocious than before, but their attack will seem so because of the weak, uncommitted, and lethargic condition of the everyday believer.  Anemic Christians will have a terrible time repelling them.

14.  Governments and world leaders will try to waltz with the Muslims, but the general populace will begin to resist them and even confront their religious beliefs.  Profiling and religious prejudice will be blatantly thrown in our faces.

15.  2010 elections will adjust the course of America on almost every level of authority and decision-making.  Even our courts will change things dramatically.

16.  Mr. Obama will continue to make decisions based on his own belief system and very contrary to popular support.  His ratings will fall drastically and America will start to voice and display more outrage against his leadership or lack of it.

17.  God’s people will have to stop frenzy-feeding off the press and start giving and tithing biblically and trusting God again by executing the law of Isaac (Gen. 26:12).  It’s time to walk by faith, not by sight.

18.  I predict we are entering the time now when one will either be God-possessed or demon-possessed.  Better chase God like never before.

19.  Iran will be more and more sassy, Israel will begin to lose patience, and China will show its muscle.  Don’t be fooled by Russia’s quietness.

20.  God’s people are not coming to His house often enough or listening to their pastors clearly enough, therefore they are not going home and living it accurately enough.  Please receive this warning, and listen to your pastor like never before.

21.  I predict born-again, unchurched people will begin to be wiped out by the intense attack of demonic forces, and because they are disconnected from the main body, they will not be able to withstand this onslaught of evil forces.  Satan is coming to reap where he has sown.
