Mark Lowry

Don't expect any of these anytime soon.

I graduated from Hawken School and, after a couple of years at Princeton, took a few years off to work on riverboats and see the world. Ended up in Madison, WI and got a PhD in Applied Economics. After a few years as a professor at Penn State I returned to Madison and now own a small consulting firm called Pacific Economics Group Research. I mostly do utility regulation work in Canada. In my spare time I enjoy hiking and travelling. The biggest tragedies in my life have been the deaths of my wife Elizabeth Lowry (heart attack) and my subsequent life partner Ann Kelley (colon cancer). I was fortunate to be able to parent her two children for a couple of years after Ann died. Despite these setbacks I have great kids and a stimulating career and enjoy my life living on a drumlin overlooking Lake Mendota in Madison. My partner Jean Deuster is a retired doctor and lives in suburban Milwaukee. I rarely return to Cleveland since my parents died years ago. Would come more often if the Browns were better!

I have lots of fond memories from Fernway and my two years at Woodbury. Al Maples, Hugh Lewis, Stewart Peck, and the rest of the guys in Sal Fabrizio's homeroom. Parties with Janet Bolz, Sally Cooper, Laurie Stein, and Shelly Frisch. Grammer class with Mrs. King. High school football games at Shaker. The Albert Ladanyi experience. Hanging in the neighborhood with Bert Debeneditto and Bertie Riley. Had some friends at Hawken that some of you will remember from grade school. Jimmie Marcus and Howard Halle.

I see Stewart Peck on my occasional visits to New Orleans.
