Terribly sad to hear about Roger.  I suspect others might be too sad to post as yet. His life after Shaker was remarkably accomplished. He'll be deeply missed, condolences to what sounds like a wonderful family.

Roger will certainly be missed. He had the brains to go with a winning smile and personality. May his membership a blessing.

Years ago, Roger and I began to get together whenever I got to Cleveland (a couple of times a year). Initially, we talked about his time as a US Assistant Attorney. The conversation was particularly interesting and lengthy because my daughter had been an AUSA in Chicago. Although he talked about what he did, he never mentioned the awards and citations. That was Roger. I even had the pleasure of playing golf with Roger, Torchy and Michael Peterman (the pleasure was mine; I don't think it was theirs). I saw him last fall, and he told me of the seriousness of his illness. Nevertheless, he was upbeat and I enjoyed being together. Despite what I knew, but given his inner strength, I expected to see him this summer. I am glad we got together all these years, but saddened I will not see him again.

I first met Roger some 66 years ago. He went to Boulevard and I went to Onaway. We both started law school together along with his older brother. He was always outgoing and friendly to all. I was a prosecutor and he was a public defender. He always represented his clients to the fullest. When I heard the news of his passing it was devastating. Unlike some of us he was always in shape. I will miss him. He was a true friend.

Roger was my oldest friend.  We meet in 1st grade at Boulevard and did many things together through K-12, college, and beyond.  I will truly miss him.  My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I was saddened to hear of Roger’s passing. Roger and I went all the way back to Boulevard School where we were in the same classes for most of elementary school. I want to express my condolences to his family.

Roger was a wonderful friend and home room classmate throughout high school. Later on I took the bar exam with Rick Bamberger and got to know him and enjoy his company as a colleague at Baker & Hostetler. Wonderful people. My heart goes out to the entire family.
