Marguerite Comella (Tench)

Chuck was not only a classmate, but also my childhood friend.

His grandma lived behind my house and after his dad died, he spent a lot of time there.

Because of a congenital heart condition, he was not allowed to "rough-house" with the boys.  He became a good friend to all the girls.  He was always so funny and always made us laugh.

Chuck was like another brother in my family and took me on the first "date" that my Sicilian fatther allowed:  the Christmas Dance in 9th grade at Woodbury Junior high.

Through the years, he remained my friend.  He was friends with my first husband.  He was friends with my kids during the years I was divorced.  He was friends with  my current husband.  And always a comedian!

We did finally loose touch - as my children became adults, and life moved us in different directions.  He was in Columbus when I heard of his death.  That funny, funny heart finally gave out.

I know the Angels in heaven are now laughing at his jokes.

We still love you, Chuck.
