So sad.... as it goes with many of our friends form our youth, Joe and I lost touch as the years faded behind us. But that doesn’t negate that he and I were close friends when we were kids. I remember him being one of the nicest and most easy-going people I’d ever known... and that thought still holds true. He came up to me at the 40th reunion after not seeing each other for 40 years and we wound up talking for a good deal of the evening. ... Joe was the exact same person I’d known all those years ago and long forgotten memories became clear. We promised to keep in touch..........

My deepest and most sincere condolences to his family & friends.

R.I.P. Joe.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel with the passing of Joe. He truly was a lifelong friend, always had my back. We would meet for dinner about once every month with his wife and another couple to laugh and discuss all that was “going on” in our lives. We never missed; we always looked forward to our get togethers with a great deal of anticipation. He had many medical setbacks the last couple of years but never complained about his situation. He took it all in stride. Joe was always so jovial and upbeat; tried to make you feel better, not worry about himself.  He was truly a great great man, so faithful to his family and friends. We will forever miss Joe. RIP, Joe...we love you!!

I went to elementary school and on with Joe. Didn't know him well, but he was a very very nice boy and man.

Handsome inside and out. I know he will be missed. So sad.

Joseph “Joe” A. Musarro, 72, of Medina, passed away on November 9, 2018. He was born on May 31, 1947, in Cleveland, to the late Joseph and Jean (Ferraro) Musarro. Joe graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1965. He enlisted in the United States Army Reserve and proudly served our country from 1968 until 1974.

He worked as a sales manager in the automobile industry for over 40 years, from which he retired.

Joe had a passion for classic cars, owning many in his lifetime. A special one that was near and dear to his heart was his 1965 Malibu. He attended many car shows with his friends. He loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling, especially to the South West mountains. Joe was truly a people person, and had the most kind hearted and generous personality. He lit up any room he entered with his warm smile. His humor brought much laughter wherever he went.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 21 wonderful years, Karen (Moore) Musarro; children, Deanna (Alan) Piatak and Steve (Darcy) Bajko; grandchildren, Jessica, Natalie, Jack, Calvin and Tyler; his brother, Jamie (Mary Jo) Musarro and sister, Bonnie (Mike) Myers; and many special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Jarod Piatak; former wife, Joann E Musarro; and his brother, Teddy Musarro.

Joe’s family will receive friends both on Sunday, November 18, 2018, from 2-5 p.m., at Waite &  Son Funeral Home, located at 765 N Court Street, Medina, OH 44256, and again on Monday, November 19, 2018, from 10-11 a.m. at Strongsville United Methodist Church, located at 13500 Royalton Rd, Strongsville, OH 44136. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. on Monday with Pastor Dave Scavuzzo officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
