Sorry that I'll miss seeing all of you; particularly the field hockey team.
A shoutout to you all.

Bruce Kaufman and Cathy McCord are both pretty caught up with what I'm up to; so, they can fill you in.

Hug to all, and sending greetings and best wishes to each of you.

Cheers

Lynne

Marcy Segall (Arnold)

Time to post my SHHS reunion pics. Like Steve Chesler said, I was having too much fun talking with everyone and taking pictures was an afterthought. In my opinion, this was the BEST reunion, and I've been to all of them! It was so fun to connect with old friends I haven't seen in ages, and so fun to work with the other talented and dedicated committee members. If you weren't able to come, I missed you, and understand there are many reasons why, but I know that even tho you weren't there, your heart was. (keep scrolling)

While hopping from one venue to another, to another, I didn't want it to end. During the HS tour, I have to admit that I was talking more with you than paying attention. (I frequently became disoriented)!

I wanted to talk with everyone and have deeper conversations. I wanted to see the pics of your kids and grandkids and learn about your hobbies and the things you do when you're not working (I'm greedy that way). But the hours of a weekend are limited, and I am grateful for the time I spent with everyone. I hope your travels back home were safe. If I didn't get a chance to give you a big hug or say goodbye, this is me doing that now. I understand if you're not into social media…and there are many reasons not to these days, but my favorite thing about FB is catching up and connecting with old friends. I think it made for a richer experience for me this weekend.

Be well, enjoy those kids and grandkids if you got ’em. If you're ever in the Charlotte area, text, email, FB message, or even give us a call. We'll always make time for our Shaker buddies. As I look to the future, I look forward to seeing you at #55!

Love, Marcy

Shaker High School's Best Class, 1974, had the Best Reunion this year for our 50th!

What a GREAT WEEKEND!!! What a BALL!!!

"Ditto" to what Marcy said, so perfectly!  It was wonderful to see everyone who was able to come! Each and every one of you made it a success!

To those who weren't able to come, please consider getting our custom made t-shirt as a souvenir of our wonderful, fun class! It's definitely a keepsake, and a shirt to be worn in pride!!!  (Let us know if you want one, and what size.)

All I can say is that we had a dynamite team that worked hard to ensure necessary things were done, and it was a team that went over and above, to have everything as together as possible!

SO PROUD TO BE A SHAKER HIGH GRADUATE OF THE CLASS OF 1974.

Big thanks to the reunion committee for a job well done!

This truly was an extraordinary reunion. The book talk impressed me so much, as it gave the whole weekend a unique perspective, depth, context & meaning. Definitely emphasized the "class" in our class! Great seeing so many classmates too.
Best wishes to all,

anita

I'll be sending information to everyone on how to upload photos onto this website for all to see!  I'm just waiting for a response on a question from the website tech team.

I am so sorry I wasn't able to be at the reunion. It sounds like everyone had a blast. I would love to get the custom-made Ellen Dieter t-shirt in size XL.

Thanks,

Karen

Stephanie, I was having a similar problem yesterday!  I wrote an email to the website tech help desk, and they're usually pretty responsive.  Hopefully I'll have an answer today or tomorrow!

This is overdue. What a wonderful event! Thanks to the committee and anyone even remotely involved in pulling the reunion off so successfully. This might the first one I've attended, but it won't be the last. I guess none of us can be too surprised with the accomplishments of our classmates, but it's more reflective of the good fortune we had to grow up (?) and go to school in Shaker Heights. Great fun!

FYI...I just realized that the Gristmill that I scanned and that we posted on this site was missing the first section, pages 1-69. A new and complete version is now available for you to enjoy and reminisce. Sorry for any inconvenience. - Marcy
