Tammy, I take no offense to you singling (?) me out for a beer, I admit it , I like beer. As for all those husbands who sound as if they are going to drink Milwaukee out of beer that weekend, tell them they have a friend in me.... and I'm sure several of us.
Carolyn, I'll do my best to get Kris on this thing. She is copping out b/c she figures why should she do it if I'm doing it. Nice logic, I guess. So now that someone wants her input on childhood memories, maybe she'll get involved.

Long Bangs, Yes. Flock of Seagulls? Duran Duran? Mmm, I'm not so sure about that.

Oh, how I miss those days - having the hair, I mean ;)

How about some women from the 80's I'll even list them in 80's terms

Ultra fox #1) Alyssa Milano "Who's The Boss"
Ultra fox #2) Heather Locklear "TJ Hooker" Sammy
Jo Carrington"
Ultra fox #3) Lisa Bonet "Denise Huxtable"
Ultra fox #4) Lita Ford (no decription needed)
Ultra fox #5) Justine Bateman "Mallory Keaton"
Ultra fox #6) Phoebe Cates "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"
Ultra fox #7) Kelly Lebrock "Weird Science"
Ultra fox #8) Kelly McGillis "Mavericks girl on Top Gun"

Ultra fox #9) Smurfette "little blue chick with
blonde hair high maintenance."

These are all solid picks!

Amy Korkko (Wieland)

Ok Robb....here are some guys from the 80's

1. Rick Springfield OF COURSE!!!!
2. Boy George - YikeS

3. Michael Jackson....we'd like to not admit to that one.
4. Motley Crue - I think they are still around
5. Hulk Hogan
6. Mark Goodman and Alan Hunter - MTV
7. Bo and Luke Duke and of course Boss Hogg and Rosco Pico Train
8. BRUCE!!!
9, BON JOVI!!!!!!!!! AND WE STILL LOVE BON JOVI
10. I can't think of anymore...girls help out.

Travis Gross

Robb, those are truly solid picks. One guilty pleasure of mine was Ally Sheedy. Oh, what about the girl from Police Academy and Mannequin. I can't think of her name right now but she is the slutty one on Sex in the City. Yes, I know Sex in the City only because Kris watched it, and still does. As for Amy coming up short for guys of the '80's you forgot alot of them. Like all the guys from North High class of '89. P.S. Can we accept Boy George as a guy? We should put that to a vote.

Amy, were you one of those Bon Jovi butt-lovers?
Robb, you are kind of freaking me out with the Smurfette crush. Something about that just doesn't seem right.

Robb Leonhard

Come on Travis,
Thats how rumors get started!
By the way it is Kim Katrell. Not sure on the spelling

02/26/09 09:06 PM #53

Brenda Feudner (Zdanowicz)

Hey Travis, I checked out Legend Larry on fb...I will definately have to try that sauce when I'm home for the reunion! Congratulations on the awards! Sounds like a fun gig!

I can't wait to see Dennis's place. Is he still driving around in MOMS85?

As I was reading all these posts about 80's music and rockstar crushes, I remembered that when I was in about 4th or 5th Grade I had a monster crush on your brother Ty...I'm pretty sure he never said word to me, but I have this image in my head of him coming out of your house wearing a tee shirt that was exactly like the one the drummer from Def Lepoard used to wear! I just about crashed on my roller skates!

Hope things come together for a picnic type thing on Saturday(or Sunday). I think it would be so much fun for everyone to meet the next generation!

02/26/09 10:02 PM #54

Amy Korkko (Wieland)

yes Travis...Bon Jovi...and you know what...he's still hot. Of course not as hot as Scott.

02/26/09 10:10 PM #55

Travis Gross

Hey Amy, are you referring to Bon Scott from AC/DC? Man, I hope your husband doesn't find out he's third in line. lol
I'm not trying to start rumors, I just think all us dudes from North 89 kicked ass. We were ALL way cooler than those rockers from back in the day. It's totally rad to the max.
I thank you Robb for that actress's name. It was bugging me.

02/27/09 01:24 AM #56

Thomas Neumann

I didn't realize that Kim Katrell was the same actress from Police Academy that was in Sex in the City (never watched it). I first new her from Porky's. No not Ms. Balbricker, but as 'Lassie' Honeywell.

Robb, I have to agree with Travis on the Smurfette thing...

Tamara Miller (Oppermann)

Amy, you forgot about George Michael. He was Hot! His "I want your sex" song was so naughty! I remember Tracy and I singing away with that tune with our cool cut off sweatshirts that hung off one shoulder! LOL!!! We were cool then. I agree about JBJ. He does look good--still.

It sounds like a few people are jumping on the park get-together bandwagon. Should we just say Evergreen or Vollrath bowl? They both have a fairly big play area, I think, haven't been there in some time. Would people prefer before lunch or after. That could depend upon how late we're at Urbane on Friday night! Maybe after would be better.

Let me know what you think.

02/27/09 08:52 PM #58

Amy Korkko (Wieland)

I was going to add George Michael...but then i remembered he liked mostly men...so I didn't want to add him to my list.

In regards to the AC/DC guy...not...my Scott would of COURSE be the hottest guy on my list...AND the hottest guy from our class. Come on Travis, he is also reads the message forum...although he didn't add me as one of the hot chicks...we'll have to discuss that.

03/02/09 10:49 AM #59

Laura Stoelb (Quasius)

Amy I've got one! Bret Michaels from Poison! He still looks good! I'm addicted to that stupid reality show on VH1.

03/02/09 07:58 PM #60

Amy Korkko (Wieland)

oh yes...still not to shabby in his older days. How about that guy in Bon Jovi...the dark headed guy...he's a hottie too. Man...you can tell we are old...I used to laugh at my mom and her girlfriends when they used to do this.

03/02/09 11:38 PM #61

Travis Gross

Hey Tom, nice call on the Porky's thing, totally forgot about that. How? I don't know. That was hardcore for a 13 year old. Tammy, I think the afternoon would be better. This way we help our babysitters by getting the little ones nice and exhausted for that evening. Plus, we just don't know how Fri. night will be. Dennis has a pretty cool thing going on. And finally, I'm begging... Please stop all the chatter about all those hot guys, I'm starting to question some things about myself.
Brenda, one question, my brother Ty? Really? I think I will have to tell him that. As for the wings thing, it's been pretty cool. I have been sitting on a teaching license for about six years because of this wing thing. I spend about 15 hrs./week making, on average, 70 gallons of sauce for the three Larry's locations and the six other establishments that distribute our product in the state. On top of that, I manage the recently opened delivery location in Sheboomboom. The rest of my work week is spent cooking. Cooking means deep frying chicken... and cheese. Afterall, we are in Wisconsin.

03/03/09 01:56 PM #62

Amy Cramer (Toth)

Amy, I think you're talking about Richie Sambora!! I thought I'd get in on the hot guy talk. He's definitely still got the looks and the moves!! So does Jon Bon! Jovi that is.

03/03/09 05:09 PM #63

Laura Stoelb (Quasius)

Oh yeah! Richie is a hottie, still! Tommy Lee from Motley Crue looks good too still

03/03/09 09:52 PM #64

Amy Korkko (Wieland)

Oh...yes...Richie Sambora. that's it.

Oh Travis...you make the best wings. Gotta get Scotter to take me to Legend Larrys. Has anyone tried those Scary Larry's?

Has anyone thought about inviting any of our teachers to our reunion? It might be interested in seeing them as well...Like Mr. Fischer,Mr. Wagner...he's still around. Also...not sure if anyone has heard...but someone told me that Mr. Glaser is not doing too well...recently visited his old classroom one last time.

03/03/09 10:58 PM #65

John Sommer

Bret michaels a hottie??? Hell If I wore as much make up as he does I'd be cute too! He can't be all that hot, look at the chicks that hang out with him???

Amy skip the Scary's and go straight for the DOA's.

03/04/09 01:12 AM #66

Brenda Feudner (Zdanowicz)

Yes Travis, really...never came clean to anyone on that before...a weight has been lifted! And if I remember correctly, you and I and Stacie Brethower had a little love triangle going in like 5th or 6th grade...I don't remember the details...do you? I remember being very afraid of Stacie. Oh the drama! Stacie and I became good friends later. We were even roommates for a while in Milwaukee.

I think it'd be fun to invite our teacthers. I've tried to track down Mr. Dreissen a few times...no luck.

03/04/09 11:21 AM #67

Tracy Dickfoss (Reynolds)

Hi all. I had to take some much-needed time off from the forum here; Rick and I were celebrating his status as the hottest man of the 80s. I see we still have one spot open there...or two...or three... The way I figure is no Boy George (although my mother still has a signed poster of him in her wash room), and if we are excluding George Michael for liking men (Although, Tammy and I DID rock that song with our pastel , one-shouldered sweatshirts adn matching pumps!), well, we need to get rid of Michael Jackson too for obvious reasons. I think we need to add Ralph Macchio (think, "Danielson! Wax on! Wax off!") and Mark Wahlburg ("Such a good vibration!"), who has also aged EXTREMELY well! And Rob Lowe? Obviously none hold a candle to Rick, but in the event that he spends the rest of his life in jail (Hmmm... do I see a pattern? A couple of the boys/men I liked in high school are currently jailed...), I could manage Ralph or Mark.By the way, I teach in a city (hardly) called Reedsburg, and that is where "Luke Duke" (Tom Wopat) is from. I teach with his sister-in-law. We could add Papa Smurf to the list; he sort of resembles Sean Connery. Okay, Travis, I'm done now. And, I was thinking, someday, you could combine that teaching degree with the cooking/sauce job and teach Home Ec., which is now called FACE. I think that would ROCK!
Inviting teachers to the reunion would be a neat idea. I believe Mr. Glaser is quite unwell, and I believe his wife recently died (they used to live a few houses from my parents). At any rate, he is in a "home" and I believe he suffers from Dementia. What about Mr. Rudolph (just for Dawn Adams, or would she want to see Mr. Hoffman?) Or the husband/wife duo? (I seriously forgot their last name, but they always reminded me of Sonny and Cher...)
So the park gig is a go! Which one and what time?
PS I agree with John. Bret Michaels freaks me out! Hello plastic surgery and Mary Kay, and those chicks? YIKES!

Tracy,
Thanks for the video. I haven't had a really great laugh attack in a long time. He's such a badass smashing that mirror. If I looked like him I'd smash the mirror too. lol As for some of the teachers, I live next door to Mr. Vandenberg and Mr. Esler lives a few houses away. So if any of you CC runners or any of you who had Econ. or aviation class let me know, I can drop a line.

Brenda,
I don't have any memory of a lurid love triangle, I do remember liking both of you but I didn't realize it was at the same time. Thanks for boosting my ego, Kris will really appreciate what she has now. I still can't get over the crush you had on Ty, this will take awhile.

John and Amy,
I don't know if either of you have ever tried the D.O.A.'s but I personally don't touch them. I have gotten minor burns from spilling it on me. Plus, if allowed enough time, it will remove tarnish from copper. It's pretty crazy.

Travis
Yes I've tried the DOA's. A friend from Milwukee was running his mouth how he loves hot spicy food. So we had to get some. I had 2, he ate 4 and was done. After words he said he couldn't feel his face for a week. HAHA! I'll stick with the med. and hot garlic's, Once and a while i get an order of hot's, if I need my sinuses cleared out.

Needless to say, my friend wants nothing to do with the DOA's again. But I did get him and some of the guys he works with hooked on the hot garlic's. (infact had them for lunch at work today.) That delivery thing is fricken awesome!!

03/05/09 10:35 AM #70

Laura Stoelb (Quasius)

I LOVE LARRY'S WINGS! I used to love hot spicy stuff. I can't eat it anymore. I can't even handle Larrys MEDIUM sauce! I prolly would be DOA if I ate those DOA wings.....

and yes Bret Michaels is still hot. Compare him now to Vince Neil now. I don't think they make makeup good enough to make him look good anymore!

03/05/09 12:48 PM #71

Dawn Grimm (Pachniak)

I am going back to the Bon Jovi thing....I LOVE Bon Jovi...I even have my boys singing Bon Jovi! And Tracy, I too, have actually recently seen Rick Springfield in concert. He came to a festival not far from us. I didn't see you there, but I am sure you were right? My girlfriend and I were dancing and singing while our husbands were slumped in their chairs drinking their... yes, beer Travis, trying to pretend they weren't with us. I have to say Bon Jovi has aged better than Ricky, but I do have them both on my play list.
