After High School I went to college and came back to Shelby to teach 3rd Grade. I taught for 6 years. I stopped teaching to raise our children, but that didn't last long because I was called to teach at a country school for a few weeks, then more and more subbing came along and I have been doing that ever since. I have been with Shelby Public Schools for about 48 years. Taking care of my family and teaching have been my priorities. Maybe I will do some traveling someday, if and when I ever really RETIRE!!
