Sandy Elmore

I retired in January 2013 and have enjoy it everyday when I don't have to get up and go to work, retired with 42 years federal service between military and NSA time. Finding plenty of projects to keep me busy and grandkids to keep us busy. My son Ricky and daughter in law Annie had a girl Isabel in January 2014 and our family just keeps growing. I just pray that I stay cancer free and have many fruitful years ahead.

Hope 2013 will be a good year for everyone. In August 2011, I found out I had esophageal cancer. Went through 6 weeks of radiation/chemo theraphy and had major surgery on 22 December to remove my esophagus. My most recent PET Scan shows that I am cancer free and God Lord willing I will stay that way. My eating habits are different now and I lost 45 pounds of weight. Since my last update we have 8 grand children now and another on the way in March. Christmas is getting expensive. Hope to make the 2013 45th reunion if my health is okay. I left Shelbyville in 1969 going into the USAF until 1973. Moved back to Shelbyville until May 1975 and moved to Maryland and starting working for the Dept of Defense (National Security Agency) as a Telecommunications Officer. I plan to retire this summer from the federal government and go work as a defense contractor for 2 or 3 years.

Another addition to our family, Reagan was born on April 2013 and just found out my son Ricky and his wife Anne are expecting their second child in January 2014. This will make our 10th grandkid, our family is really growing fast. We have a new addition to our family, my son Ricky and Annie had a son in October 2010 and named him Austin Richard Elmore which makes me proud of have part of my name. We have 6 grandchildren now. Enough to keep us busy in our retirement years. We had two new additions since my last update. Emmy Carsen Beck was born in April 2010 and Caraline Villard born in December 2009. I will post some picture of our new additions soon. I really enjoy keeping in touch with classmates and reading profiles.
