I just got threw watching the videos, and I have looked at some of the pics on Facebook. It has really pumped me up BIGTIME for our reunion. I will bring my notes and everything we did while planning my other 20 year reunion for Corning High School. Some ideas ya'll might like, others you might want to throw in the trash. We can also talk to the class of 88 to see what they did in their 20 year reunion. I think if we all put our heads together, we should come up with a good plan. Look forward to seeing you all January 31, 2009!

What does everyone think about a March 14 trip to Oaklawn? Not a whole lot of Saturdays other than that that I can go. Sunday might be better but church could keep people from going. So as of now, I'm planning on 3-14. All are invited that want to come. Give me some feedback.

I was just informed today that Mrs. Cook's husband passed away while they were returning from an out of state trip. I believe he had a heart attack.

The obituary is now availalble online here. You can also sign the guest book at this link, offering your condolences.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Bennett, Jim Lancaster, Bobby Pierce, Rick Treadway and Dr. Jim Wellons officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until service time.

I copied this from the 1988 Website. If Mrs. Cook is home I plan on going by to see her either before the reunion planning or afterwards if anyone would like to go.

Well, the new has worn off the sites. I hope we can continue to have the small gatherings to keep everyone in touch. We have some big tasks ahead to get the reunion together and if you want your voice heard, voice it here on the forum. Especially if you can't make it to a planning meeting! What kind of budget would you like? Where would be your choice to have it? Hotel Ballroom, Restaurant, The Sheridan Country Club, Hooters?

The Sheridan Country Club can only hold 150 people, we graduated over 280, I know they all won't come back, but I do think we will have over 150. I talked with the class of 88, they said space was limited, at both places, we really need to consider that in planning. How many plan to attend next week?
