Does anyone know what was discussed at the meeting? Feb 28th will not be a good day for me, I have Bobby Petrino coming March 2nd, I will be busy planning for at least 425 people. I wish I could be there! I wish we could have a meeting in a chat room, that would be easier on me. But I am only one person.

I would've loved to have been at the one this weekend but my husband was with the Navy and we had Upward games. I would have been at the orginal meeting. I can't come to the Feb meeting either because its my daughter's subsitute birthday, she's a Leap Day birthday :). I like the chat idea! I would like to help with the planning.

I have already done Scott Boatrights job about 3 weeks ago. I called the Little Rock Chamber of Conference, and North Little Rock Chamber of Conference. I actually called 5-6 places and got information, phone numbers etc. about information on all the places. The Austin Hotel actually came to about $30/person, $60 a couple. If you read the information about embassy suites it might have scared you at first when you seen the $1,500 deposit for the room. But If you had 100-125 people and had the event catered the room was free. I wish I could have been there to explain that to everyone. I can see where you may have been taken way back on that. I wish it was any other day besides Feb 29th. I have my big event of the year, and I have got to be in Heber Springs, getting everything ready for that following Monday. Sounds like everything was well thought out!!! Congrats to everyone on all their hard work, and work to come.

Jamie, March 14th at Oaklawn looks like a good day to me!

Tina, you asked about Michael's mother... She's doing very well. She's still in the hospital but not in CCU anymore. She hopes to move to rehab soon, to get her strength back so she can go home!

Sounds like the reunion planning meeting was productive! Thanks to all of you who are working on this. Please let me know if I can be of assistance. I'll try to make the next meeting!

I understand that most people wannt the reunion to be around the football games, but we have many people who live out of state and will not be able to come to the reunion if it is held it the fall/winter months. Has anyone thought of having during summer when school is out so that the classmates who are out of state can make it to the reunion? Like mid June or mid Aug?
Just a thought.

02/06/09 08:08 PM #589

Crystal Clark (Woods)

Maybe that should be included in the survey - what month(s) would be best (or worst) for people...

02/07/09 11:29 AM #590

Tina Redd (Atkinson)

Crystal
that's a good idea. Thanks for the recommendation. What does everyone else think?

02/09/09 11:37 AM #591

David Fort

I asked Pat to put a question on the survey about when to have the reunion. Summer or Fall. It's obviously too late to put anything together for Spring.

02/09/09 03:24 PM #592

Pat Bisbee

We need to keep in mind that with a class our size no matter when we have it there will be people w/conflicting schedules. Personally, I'm open to anytime except the 1st weekend in June and the 1st 2 weeks in Aug. There will be another survey posted in the next 1-2 weeks and we may have a question regarding what months would work best. Several of us had spoken in length last fall about possible dates and the time may be past for being able to get a good location for a summer event, but whetever everyone wants to do.

Greetings 89ers.

I'm in the midst of scanning and uploading all of the Sheridan yearbooks from 1976-1988 in what I'm calling the "Yearbook Project".

I'm letting you guys know, since (obviously) your class will be in all but the first & last yearbooks. I plan to post a new yearbook every couple of weeks (or as my schedule permits). You'll be able to view each yearbook, page by page, in a slideshow format, as well as have the option to download any page(s) you'd like. All for free. :)

Currently I have 1976, 1977 & 1978 available for viewing. I hope you'll enjoy these & more to come.

Click here to view the Yearbook Project.

Sept 19 Georgia
Sept 26 at Alabama
Oct 3 Texas A & M (at Dallas)
Oct 10 Auburn
Oct 17 at Florida
Oct 24 at Ole Miss
