I'm confused. Looking at the survey, A weekend in Hot Springs would be awesome. Do it in the summer and we could do the Belle and a day at one of the parks with the kids.

On the other hand, homecoming is always a good place to visit and then out to the CC. A field day at the elementary school or a park where the kids would have equipment to play on would be good. Maybe a place where we could have a cook out.

About the reunion. I like the idea of Hot Springs. I think we should establish a plan soon if we are doing a stay over so that we can make hotel arrangements and perhaps we could rent a large conference room with catering. I feel like we might not be able to get everyone lodging at the same hotel, but we should be able to locate a common meeting place that will accomodate us all fairly easily. Even though I, myself, am not a big drinker, I realize that most of you probably are. :} Maybe we could pay someone to drive a drunk bus from hotel to hotel. You guys who have kids of driving age may want to see if they want to do this for tips. Babysitting will probably be needed as well. We should pick two or three hotels and try to get everyone to stick to those. I, myself, would probably prefer to choose a hotel that is more budget friendly while others may prefer higher end lodging. I feel like we should choose an array of hotels with cost and location in mind. The reason I recommend establishing a few hotels as places to stay is because I feel that it would make the occasion nicer for everyone to have the opportunity to stay somewhere where other classmates are also staying. We could also post an inventory of everyone' intentions. I know now, that I would like to stay at the same hotel as Chris "Tex" Campbell. He still calls me "Cool Hicks". Hopefully, we can choose places that will meet everyone's needs by location and cost. I would hate for anyone not to come because of cost.
I personally do not care one way or the other about the Belle.
All of this is just a thought. I am in for anything and would be honored to be included in the planning.

Keep in mind the reason for the survey question on cost was to get everyone thinking about that issue. For example, if the cost gets close to $100.00 or above, my wife and I will not be attending. After helping to plan the reunion I would hate to not be able to participate because I can't afford to go.
