Owen has brought us joy that we could have never imagined.

I feel great and don't feel at all that the big 6-0 is coming next year. The only good thing about turning 60 is that Suzanne, Sara, and I will have our special celebration together. Should be go to the beach, spa, mountains, casino, or all of the above? Well, the big 6-0 has come and gone. But we did go to a spa in 2011 and had a ball. We actually stayed out of trouble!

Well the big 6-0 has come and gone and now am looking forward to 68 in November. But still the good thing is that I still have my BFF's to celebrate with!

Way too many memories to write about. Hanging out at Little's, leaving campus for lunch, dating a senior when I was a sophomore-Danny Nabors, cousin John Hall putting a street sign in my front yard, living on Crockett Street, David, Darrell, Pat, James, Lester, Lynn, Mike Hatch, Larry Vos hanging out at my house, hiding the liquor behind the curtains in the living room, hanging out with the class of 70-Becca, Paula, Debbie, Janet, hanging out with Suzanne, Sara, Stephanie, taking Civics in summer school, getting my driver's license when I was 14 years old, taking driver's ed. with Suzanne, having a wreck by the DQ when I was supposed to be getting notebook paper at Gibson's, hanging at the DQ, getting sent home cause my skirt was too short(thanks Mr. Onley), Miss McCoy, taking art when I couldn't even draw, the bomb scare, going to Sunset Beach, ......

Yes, and I love every minute with them. My BFAS still live here in Sherman and I love them.

I had the best time ever at the reunion. It took several weeks to get out of the reunion mode-it really took me back and made me realize how lucky we all are to still have each other even after all of these years when we have all gone in such different directions. Life is good and I feel so blessed to have the wonderful memories of many friendships.

Celebrated 40 years of marriage to David Clendenin in June. Retired from teaching in 2005-most of my career was spent teaching at Crutchfield School with my best friends for life-Suzanne Gafford Gladen and Sara White Reid. I don't think they knew the fun we had at SHS and beyond or would they have let us teach in the same building for all of those years?

Sisters Sydney Thompson Langley lives in Austin and Terence Thompson Vaughan lives in Dallas. Our sweet, precious mother passed away in 2011 at the ripe, young age of 90! And that bad word, cancer, is what got her. She lived a long, wonderful life and we miss her every minute of every single day. She told the doctor the secret to her good, healthy life was a salad a day and scotch and water at night. That's our Meme!

I graduated from Austin College in 1974 with a Master's degree and a teaching certificate. But did I teach? No, I was a flight attendant for Delta but didn't last very long! I came back down to earth and started teaching. Met and married in 1979, moved to Austin for 6 years and came home to Sherman in 1986. Been here ever since and have loved every minute.
