After receiving my law degree in 1975 I practiced in Edmonds. Was one of a handful of court appointed juvenile defendant defense attorneys in Snohomish County. Was hired by a client to manage its king crab fishing company.
Went to work for the Economic Development Council of Puget Sound as its fishing industry specialist on a National Marine Fisheries project. Was successful in getting fish oil registered with the EPA as a pesticide. Moved over to another project for EDCof PS, the Trade Adjustment Assitance program.
Have worked for the last 28 years on the TAA project. We help U.S. firms impacted by imports to make the company more competitive with the import. I am now the executive director of this program in the northwest covering the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana.
I am also an advisor the the U.S.Senate Finance committee and U. S. House Ways and Means committee on trade remedy issues.
