Hi Bill,
I have been researching my ancestry on www.ancestry.com and I have discovered a Keating in my ancestry. I have discovered that my great, great grandmother was Catherine Keating who was born in Ireland in 1824 and died in Houston County, Minnesota in 1875. She married John Roach who was also born in Ireland in 1824. Their daughter, Mary Roach married my great grandfather Patrick Coffey who was born in County Limerick, Ireland in 1852 and died in Le Mars, Iowa in 1901. Mary Roach died in Sioux City in 1935. Once you get back to Ireland, things get tough because their records are not very good, but there is a chance that we might be distantly related. I thought that I would let you know about this.
I am retired now and we bought a new house in Las Vegas and I have some time to spend on this.
