Theresa Zimmerman Wilhelm

After Heelan, I went to Omaha School of Practical Nursing and became an LPN. I married Ron in 1970 and we lived in Omaha for 3 years while he finished school and we started our family. He's in the insurance business, and I have pretty much been a full-time mom. We have 9 children between the ages of 14 and 37 and 19 grandchildren. Our last 2 kids attend Pius High School, a senior and a freshman. Life revolves around my family, kids & grandkids, our parish, and high school. I enjoy cooking and baking (cinnamon rolls are my specialty), gardening, sewing and homemaking. We have a big yard, with a vegetable garden, flowers, bird feeders and a bon fire pit. Now that all my kids are nearly grown, I just might get a real JOB or not!

All of your school stories are the best parts of your bios. I wish I could do Heelan all over again, as there are so many of you that I didn't get to know and would like to. I also would study harder and try to learn more. The actual classes seem a bit fuzzy after 40 years, but think that great life lessons were learned by all, and I am thankful for Heelan and my Catholic education. Oh ya, Golf Team was fun -- some rainy, cold spring days with friends on golf courses and we got out of some classes.
