Thanks to everyone involved in planning our reunion. Very well done. Good to see everyone and I hope we will keep in touch. A couple things I did not have a chance to say to friends before I left....

Drake, I think your balls are even bigger....stay clear of the feds.

Denise, Good to see you as always and stay in touch. Love that grandbabby.

Joe, Sorry I got you in trouble....I told her it was my fault. I hope that helped.

Lori, Are you a professional dancer??? (lol)

Toni, Huffy and I have a void in our hearts.

Take care everyone.

TC

Thank you to all who put together the reunion. Amazing and scary to think about twenty years. I would have liked to see you all on Saturday night. I'm sorry I missed the opportunity to see so many who weren't able to make Sunday's picnic. There's something special and unique about West. Siefker the rap was beyond hillarious. Pulling out all the stats and the history of the game. It is good to know that you are teaching and coaching there. It was great to see Richie and hear that he is teaching at the Junior High. Playing with those young men from the Wolverine basketball program was a great time. They deserve the best and I hope that as a class we can support what is going on at West. I would have liked to see the new student lounge to see the improvements that are going on. I wish I could do something to change the tennis courts, though. Unbelievable that they look like they did twenty years ago. Cement with white lines. I was waiting for Mr. Butler to come around the corner with some floral Bermuda shorts. What a blast those days were. Brock, remember when we were playing Tennis on a Saturday and the school was locked so we hijacked the hose on the building to get a drink? How about running to the edge of the hill til Coach Butler couldn't see us any more and then trotting back and acting tired. Now we are all out running triathlons and 5ks. Teri thanks for keeping the website up this will be a great way to stay in touch. Elfredos is the best. They should be slapped on the wrist for not staying open past 10. Thanks again and have a great Summer!

Now that I've had time to recover...

It was great seeing everybody. Kudos to everybody who put this together; your time and effort is greatly appreciated. The basketball game was a great addition, Todd. And that rap? What a great way to break the ice...and a few eardrums.

Jason, yes, I remember all that tennis stuff, esp. the damn running. Great times, though. Kristi, I swear you haven't changed a bit. But now with Presley to run after, well, have fun! Mike, the video was awesome. Next time you - or anybody - is in the Seattle area, look me up. Terri, enjoy the t-shirt and wear it proud! Robin, Tina, Todd...that was a great ride home Saturday night. I guess we should've went to breakfast, huh? To everybody on the basketball team...we'll get 'em in 5 years. Truly a blast.

Hard to believe it's already been 20 years. I'm guessing the next 5 will be a drop in the bucket. For the 25th, Billy and I are gonna grow our hair circa 1988...so I better get started now.

I dido the thanks to everyone who helped organize the reunion events. I'm so glad I was able to get back to Sioux City for it. For those who didn't make it (or chose not to participate) you missed a great time. I feel bad that I didn't have the chance to talk to everyone that I wanted to, Saturday night went by way to fast! It was a blast hearing stories from everyone and what they have been up to since last time we were together. I hope everyone continues to update their profiles and keep in touch even thought the reunion is over. My... how we all have grown into wonderful adults!!

Tina

PS: Yes Brock, we should have went to breakfast. I still haven't caught up on the sleep yet!!! That was a BLAST!!

Is anyone else getting spammed through this site? So far I've gotten three pieces of spam in my message folder.

That is weird, Rob. I haven't gotten any. Has anyone else? I have been thinking maybe we should start making the whole site password-protected anyway, for various reasons. I am pretty sure we have that option. What do you guys think?

dear all,
On February 13, 2009 West plays Thomas Jefferson at West for a 7:30 basketball game. This season marks the 20th and 10th anniversary of the 88 and 99 championship seasons.

In recent years West has fallen on some hard years in athletics--i.e. harly a winning season in any sport for at least two years. For many students here, there's too much association with West as a losing school. But really we have a lot of bright spots in our past and these should be remembered and honored.

I hope you will help me in honoring the anniversary of these two successfull teams. At half-time I'll be the MC and make introductions. I'll try to get Hinrich back as well. I may also honor Phil that night as West High's all time #1 fan. He'll get a chance to make those free-throws. Maybe we could even suit up for an 88 vs. 99 half-time b-ball game!!! Afterwards there's always 4th street.

Anyway please mark down the date. Let me know if you're intersted
Thanks, Todd Siefker

How do you all feel about a 21 1/2 year reunion? haha! I'm coming back to Sioux City for the first time since before our 20th (so bummed I missed it!) over the holidays. I thought it might be cool to get together if anyone has time.

Happy Holidays!!!

Has anyone thought about a 25 year reunion in 2013?

Since we have some time to plan it I thought I would bring it up.

For those of us that don't live in Sioux City anymore we need to make plans.

Thanks,

Curtis & Sonja Ingalls

I think we should have a 25 yr renunion! I feel like I didn't get to talk to everyone I wanted to at the last reunion.  It is so good to see everyone that doesn't live in Sioux City.  How about some input on what month is best to have it. I would be willing help coordinate!

Looks like others are interested in getting together for our 25th as well on Facebook. Sonja and I would like to see everyone again. The weekend of the 4th of July (5, 6, 7th) is my suggestion.
