Well my sister Joanna says it's easier to plan a trip far away than it is a close one - hence she doesn't come home often - she goes to Israel instead.

So why not do both? Have a close meeting to plan a far-away trip? Sheila, you think you have a brain cramp- my mom always said I was a "Pollyanna" and way to optimistic, but I think it's do-able. What day in December are we getting together?

Did someone say trip plan Well why not. If we plan far enough in advance it should be doable. But....as far as being able to meet up with you all in December, thats going to be out of the question for me. My Lt. is giving me the last week in November to go to South Carolina and spend time with my son before he ships to Iraq. He told me I could have no time in December as we are so dang short staffed.
Why not try to plan the trip for September 09. Bob you should be back in the country by then, right?
Maybe Mr Adkins, Mr Goodmiller, Mr Phillips, and the rest will be talking to us on here by then.
Maybe Jana can help us get the trip at a cheaper price if we all leave together.
Oh hey girls, when you decide where and when the December meeting is please send me an address so I can mail my socks and you can all pretend I am there.....How's that sound

Yes Rose my normal days off are Wednesday and Thursday. I know its hard for people to get week days off. When you work for the state you get what they give you. So please you all decide and I will be happy with whatever you all choose.
Bob Thanks for the prayer, they are greatly appreciated. Wow thats a very nice suggestion about the address. I will be happy to post it on here for you and anyone who would like to send a letter, card, or care package. I just pray to God he gets back safely.
Cathy, hey girl so glad you could join us. We need more classmates to get on here and chat. Jeni did a fantastic job with our class website and I don't want to let her down. Hello everyone out there in cyberspace!The wonders of the internet, You know this is realy great that in many cases after not seeing each other for many years we all still communicate with one another from time to time. I'm proud of all of you that I went to school with. Couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to spend 12 years of my life with. I regret missing the reunion in 2005 but 2010 is just around the corner. Time sure does fly by when we get older doesn't it. Jeni and Pam, if you finalize plans on a get together in December keep us posted I would like to attend. Also hey Minor my son goes on TDY to Nellis occasionally, maybe I'll take ya up on one of those empty rooms sometime.

As I stated my days off are on Wednesday and Thursday, so if everyone wants to come to my house and have pizza well hell come on over. I think Jeni and Rose are going to set the date.
Bobby, so very happy to see you made it into the forum and I sure hope Tom gets here soon. See Minor we said if one of you guys would get on here 1st the others would join in.

I understand about the weather - I hate to drive in snow/sleet, too. Since Cathy is AWOL until the 20th, how about the 23nd? Pam - would that work for you? Rose, still ok? Everyone else - pizza and socks at Pam's house? If for some reason we can't get this together, what looks good after Christmas for people?
I love Bob's suggestion that we post the address to send mail to Ryan - any one else have family members in the service that need our support? I may not support the War, but I do support the troops. My niece is in Japan - she's in the Air Force and not expected to see front-line action, but you just never know.

For some damned reason I thought the 23rd was a Wednesday - sorry about that. I usually spend the day before Christmas wrapping stuff that should have been already wrapped, and then I have a big dinner at the house and the kids come and stuff themselves prior to opening gifts. So the Wednesday before that would be good except that Cathy won't be back, but like Rose said, maybe we start with this and do it again so we can have even more people. What about the Wednesday the 17th?? Can we settle on this at Pam's house? Vote now so we can go get some socks.......

Tom Roberts Howdy Ya'll from Texas. Ah, that's BS, I'm still a Yankee at heart! Great web site, thanks Jeni and anyone else who had a hand in setting it up.
