Sheila Livingston (Hickman)

My schedule is pretty flexible. Seriously, let's plan to get together. We could call it a Christmas party. We could all wear Christmas sweaters like all the old women in the mall:>) What do you think?

Is there a date that works for everybody???

10/20/08 10:27 PM #39

Rose Taylor (Baker)

SOUNDS GOOD! SINCE FOLKS WILL BE COMING HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, LETS TRY AND DO IT AROUND THEN. I'LL BE GOOD ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. WEAR YOUR CHRISTMAS SWEATERS AND SUPPORT HOSE! MAYBE MEET AT PARKERSBURG MALL ? HOW ABOUT EVERY ONE BRING A GAG GIFT FOR EXCHANGE?

10/22/08 01:51 AM #40

Pam Fox (Roberts)

Well lets see.... I only have Wednesdays and Thursdays off so maybe a sick day sounds good. Plus got news from my son Ryan. He's being shipped to Iraq, so depends on his departure date. Good lord, I will have to do lots of things to keep my mind off being scared for him.

Good Grief,as Jeni says, I couldn't get to my year book. Glad you all found yours. So we had both Stewarts. If I ever get the chance to clean out my closets I might be able to get to my year books.

Well off to bed for now got court again tomorrow. Thats the only bad thing about working at the jail. You better believe you'll end up in the court room. Dam inmates anyhow. lol

Sheila Livingston (Hickman)

Rose, I think the gag gift sounds like a GREAT idea. Just let me know when and where and I will wear my Santa Hat (just kidding).

Pam, I am sorry to hear that your son is going to Iraq - that must be a terrible worry for you. I know God will watch over him. All the more reason to vote for Obama, don't you think? Hopefully, he will get our troops home sooner.

I know Jeni made some remarks in an earlier post about the election. I responded and then removed my remarks b/c I feared I may have offended some of you. I am definitely supporting Obama - anyone else offering an opinion?

10/22/08 02:53 PM #42

Jennifer Forester

Shelia - I'm glad to see you're supporting Obama - I don't believe this country can stand another 4 years like we've just had - I think George Bush is an idiot and I think McCain is not far behind him.

I also love the idea of meeting in our sweaters - I could do Dec. 9th or the 19th as I know I don't have clinic on those days - Parkersburg Mall sounds do-able if it's around noon - how about others in the class, let's get them to come, too :)

10/22/08 10:29 PM #43

Rose Taylor (Baker)

THE MALL WAS JUST AN IDEA. WE NEED A PLACE WHERE WE CAN SIT AND TALK. ANY RESTUARANTS COME TO MIND? SOME PLACE THAT WON'T KICK US OUT AFTER 20 MINUTES,LOL!!!! JOHN AND I ARE BOTH SUPPORTING OBAMA. THIS CRAP HAS TO END! MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS TO YOUR SON PAM. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH ANYONE ELSE, OTHER THAN THIS SITE. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE STILL AROUND SISTERSVILLE. SHREVES TWINS,DEBBIE WEEKLEY, RHODA, JOHNNY KNOWLTON----ANYONE GOT ANY PHONE NUMBERS?

10/23/08 02:00 AM #44

Pam Fox (Roberts)

Well folks here goes. Please don't hate me, but I will not now or ever vote for Obama. Please dont take this wrong. I know McCain is a Republican but he was and is for our military. He was military and knows what and how it should be done. I do feel we need to get those dang terrorists as best we can. If I vote for Obama then my son has been busting his buttox for my freedom and everyones for nothing. I feel if Obama gets in there well hell,( have you ever talked to any terrorists?) We've had quite a few in jail. You can't under any circumstances set down and talk to them. They are ignorant asses. Thats what Obama wants to do. HA what a joke to me! MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION

As for the 9th or 19th of December, I'll have to check. I am not off on those days. We got a speech today on taking off around the holidays. Just keep me informed and I'll do my bestest lol..... If not Parkersburg, we could try out the new Mexican Restaurant here in New Martinsville. Actually I did and it's great... By the way Rose, I've seen Debbie Weekley a few times, but I'll try to find her, and I know where Rhoda is. She's teaching in Paden City now.

Well bye for now.
Gosh I never could shut my pie hole lmao, sorry my notes are always long.
P.S. By the way Shelia, I would'nt be offended by your opinions, everyone is entitled, thats why we are the good ole USA

Hey Rose did you get a copy of the Class Book that was put together in 2005? I had just about everyone's phone number in it - even emails when they had them. I put in emails when I set up this page - some people responded (yeah!) some didn't (boo). If you didn't get a copy or lost yours, let me know and I'll email you another copy. Same goes for anyone :)

Love the political talk here - and you're right Pam - we're the USA and everyone is entitled to feel the way they do, and vote the way they do. I wish we had even more political parties so there would be more choices, but that would mean even more political commercials on TV, and I couldn't stand that. I believe Obama is the smarter of the two men and able to help with many avenues, whereas I see McCain as not very intelligent (bottom of his class), hot-headed, and OLD, and I sure don't want Sarah Palin any where near being the office of President! MY OPINION OF COURSE (and Pam, you know I care deeply for you and your family, and don't ever want anything bad to happen to Ryan while he's overseas - that will be constant in my thoughts and if you need ANYTHING call me)

So anyway - I sure to hope by December things are better for everyone, and we figure out a way to be together - I like the idea of the Mexican Restaurant in New Martinsville - but I'm game for just about anything - let's figure out how to invite more people - maybe put a blurb in the Star News about the Class of 75 getting together?

10/28/08 09:35 PM #46

Pam Fox (Roberts)

Hey Jeni, I never got a copy of the year book in 2005. I sure would like to buy one. Maybe I can even help find some of the addresses and phone numbers that have changed since then.
Well heck, here I set sick with the stupid flu. Can't believe it. I haven't been sick like this for years. So good luck to you all because I wouldn't wish this upon anyone.
I like the idea of posting a bulliten in the Star News and even the Wetzel Chronical for the luncheon. Please excuse the spelling....lol
OK where's Sheila,Rose,and Jana?

HI GIRLS, I'M STILL HERE! MY BUTT'S DRAGGIN' THIS WEEK, WORKING 6AM SHIFT. THIS COMING WEEKEND IN ATHENS IS THE BIG HALLOWEEN PARTY. JUST GOOGLE IT TO FIND OUT ABOUT ALL THE CRAZY THINGS. I SIGNED UP TO WORK FRIDAY NIGHT9-3AM. I MUST BE INSANE!!! SORRY YOU'RE SICK, PAM. HOPE WE'RE ALL WELL FOR OUR LITTLE GET TOGETHER. LIKE I SAID, ANY DAY IS GOOD FOR ME---I THINK!

10/29/08 09:37 AM #48

Jennifer Forester

Pam - I'll email you a copy of the Class Update - Maybe I can even figure out a way to have it accessed from here. I hope you're feeling better by now - I'm curious - did you get a flu shot? I've never had one and I've not had the flu.

Rose - Have a Great Time! I LOVE Halloween and dress up every year - wish there was a big party for me to attend.

10/29/08 10:17 AM #49

Jennifer Forester

Okay - I found a way to add the Classbook - it is now listed on the left side under (duh) Classbook. It is old and needs updated - so let me know what you want changed and I'll do it. I love reading through the memories - I think we could add new ones as we get together, right? :)

10/29/08 02:54 PM #50

Sheila Livingston (Hickman)

Just let me know when and where you want to get together.

Rose, I have heard of those parties at OU. Pretty wild & crazy. Maybe I'll look you up next time we are in Athens for a college meet. Seems like a really nice school. Matt pulled his hamstring up there last spring...pretty nasty injury but he's all healed up now.

We love that Mexican restaurant downtown, Chipotle's I think is the name of it. Yum!

10/30/08 03:49 PM #51

Pam Fox (Roberts)

Gee girls, this is really going to be lots of fun. Now what are we wearing? Christmas sweatshirts or what, and are we going to bring gag gifts? I sure hope I can get that day off.
Well I do believe I am starting to get over this flu..but I have to go back to work tomorrow. I still feel weak but oh well.....I'll just pretend I'm this young spring chicken and jump right back in the groove..lol.

10/30/08 07:41 PM #52

Rose Taylor (Baker)

WE NEED A PLAN OF ACTION! WHERE CAN WE MEET? SOME PLACES HAVE A SEPARATE ROOM FOR LARGE GROUPS.DOES THE MEXICAN REST. HAVE SUCH A ROOM, PAM? I DON'T KNOW WHATS AVAIABLE IN NEW MARTINSVILLE ANYMORE. IT WOULD BE NICE TO RENT A BANQUET ROOM OR SOMETHING SIMILAR. FOR GAG GIFTS, HOWS THIS? EVERYONE BUY A PAIR OF CHRISTMAS SOCKS. SEE WHO GETS THE COOLEST PAIR!!OPENED FOR SUGGESTIONS HERE! JENI, DO YOU THINK A MASS E-MAIL TO EVERYONE WOULD HELP AFTER WE SET TIME AND PLACE? I DON'T MIND MAKING SOME CALLS WHEN WE GET THINGS IN ORDER.

10/31/08 08:56 AM #53

Jennifer Forester

Mass email couldn't hurt - we first need to decide exactly when and where we're doing this, then start encouraging people to come. I like the sock idea :)

11/03/08 01:24 AM #54

Pam Fox (Roberts)

I love the sock idea. I am so tied up at work right now, but you all decide where and when, then I will help get things going too if possible. The Mexican Restaurant, I dont believe has a seperate room, but I am sure if we let them know we were coming they would make sure we had enough seating. We need to make sure to get RSVP's in plenty of time to let which ever restaurant know so they can also plan for us.
Well ladies it's 1:23 am and I have to be at work by 10:30am.

11/04/08 09:44 AM #55

Sheila Livingston (Hickman)

Don't forget to vote today!

11/04/08 10:19 AM #56

Jennifer Forester

I just returned from voting - actually did not have to wait more than about 5 minutes - I hate the computer screens, I was so afraid I'd wind up voting for someone I didn't mean to!

11/06/08 05:21 PM #57

Pam Fox (Roberts)

Well Ladies, congrats on your candidate winning the election. I sure hope he can help all of us, but will have to give him time to unscrew what has been screwed. lol..... I hear he is thinking of appointing McCain to Secretary of Defense. If that happens I'll be very happy.
I actually voted on the 27th of Oct. I thought the new machines were pretty neat. The only problem I had was figuring how to complete at the end, but you know me, I said I was having a Senior Moment lmao..

11/06/08 09:18 PM #58

Jennifer Forester

Hey - where do you suppose all the men are in our class? Why aren't any of them involved in our Forum?

I just want to echo what Pam wrote to me - I really enjoy talking to Sheila, Rose and Jana through this link. It's great to keep in touch.

11/07/08 09:03 AM #59

Rose Taylor (Baker)

I'M BEGINNING TO THINK IT'S JUST THE FIVE OF US. HELLOOOO! IS ANYBODY OUT THERE? COME ON TIGERS, JUST TYPE YOUR NAME IN AND SAY HI, IT WON'T HURT, I PROMISE!

11/07/08 10:25 AM #60

Pam Fox (Roberts)

Rose is correct guys, it dont hurt a bit.....so get in here.....Jeni made this website so we could all stay in touch and talk to each other. If she took the time to do that for us then lets show her some consideration and talk talk talk......
