Nancy and I were friends from grade school thru high school.  I was so shocked when her sister, Penny, came to me at one of the Grand Reunions and told me she was gone.  I think of her often and remember all the good times we had.  She was a wonderfuld person.

Nancy and I were majorettes at SCHS so we spent lots of time at band practice. I really got to know her well during those years. She was absolutely beautiful and a lovely girl. I'm sad to know she has passed.

I first knew Nancy in early 1950 when our family moved next door to the Hanks's.  We played together in those early years along with my other next door neighbor, Steve Walker (later of Walker Machinery fame).

I used to accompany her to Jean Sirk's dance studio on the extension to our street, Superior Avenue.  On Tuesdays she'd attend a tap dance class and on Fridays, a ballet class.  I'd watch through the glass and then walk her home.

We didn't hang out together after those early years.  Nonetheless, I regretted her passing at such a young age (about 56, I think).
