Wonderful work you are doing Charity! Clearly you have thought of everything. Brad...my favorite Tom Clark story would have to do with the "shanking of Angie Delong" well its the first one that comes to mind anyway!
Blessings,
Renee

Thanks for making this happen Charity. It will be fun to see pictures and hear stories of what everyone has been doing the last 10 years.

As for Tom, if I'm not mistaken it was Clark who threw a "dirt clog" from the football field and hit coach Eldridge in the forehead. I don't think I've ever seen a teacher more ticked off than coach that day.

I look forward to seeing everyone in October.

Charity has definitly put some hard work into all of this. Thanks for getting it together. The website is a great idea. I can't believe it's been 10 years.

That is so funny that Renee mentioned the "shanking incident" because when I hear the name Tom Clark thats what pops into my head... lol... I was about 2 people behind Angie. She was a good sport about it!

Very Funny!!

Hey Charity, could I share the Administrator rights with you so that I can keep Sorrell's profile up-to-date? I think he's missing some pictures.

Tom Clark Stories--Sorrell, I never knew that Tom was the one that threw that dirt clod at Coach E. I thought that it was Chad Reece or Michael League. Wow!! People kept a good secret.

I have two Tom Clark stories. One was way before we were in high school. We were up on the mountain at 4H camp (which was off the hook)and the Findlay "Preps" were minding our own business when the Doyle Cult/gang (Bryce, Tom, Jessie, Titus, Forrest, etc.)came and picked a fight with us in the barracks. Tom, being the coward he was, picked up an asbestos floor tile and threw it at me, cutting my leg. I probably needed stitches, but we were afraid that Bill Adcock would send us home. I still have a scar and probably will die in a few years as a result of direct contact to asbestos. In fact, Tom, you'll be receiving a letter from my attorney in a few days!!!

Also, speaking of Coach E., bless his heart. In his attempt to teach us human anatomy, he brought to health class a skeleton. He left the room to do something in the midst of his anatomy lectures and came back to find his skeleton smoking a cigarette. When he looked at the skeleton and saw the cigarette, he immediately said, "Tom get out in the hall." He made a pretty good guess.

Im sure it was sorrell that threw the dirt. I just took up for him for all these years. I hope everyone is doing well.

As a member of the much cooler Woodland Park contingent, I recall vividly recall Brad Walker's account of what took place. I believe the only piece Brad failed to mention involved his crying in the bathroom stall. It's ok Brad, asbestos tile wounds hurt something fierce.

In no particular order, my top stories are:

1) Ward stealing Marty's boot and running with it for what seemed like 2 hours. Marty was not pleased. This was evidenced by Marty's famed power cursing.

2) Chad Sorrell body slammed by Terry. Ski Ski.

3) Sonny Stover and Chad Reece chasing the band through the practice field while wearing seemingly clever disguises. Much to their chagrin, they were identified by the fact that those who did not already recognize Sonny's car, the "Sonny73" license plate and "bros before hos" sticker did the trick.

4) Anything Tom Clark did or said.

5) Our ill fated road trip to what I believe was the Cleveland - White County football game in Naak's family van. Naak was not pleased. Both Corey Wilson and Jaquay set personal bests for gas cap removals.

6) The now infamous Ward ice cream squeeze. Oh yeah, you know what I'm talking about if you've been squeezed.

7) Brice Murphy taking a plastic utensil to the leg after making an off color comment to Terry.

More as it comes to me.

I think the memory that I can still sit and laugh at is Brad Walker dancing in Lil Abner. I will never forget that or how much I laughed!

Wow, that Lil' Abner reference made me think of another one for those of us who held the musicals near and dear to our hearts:

"Ropes, Bear traps, Ruunniing Shooooooooeessss..."

Also:

"...Progress is the root of, all evil, progress is the cause of it all...
uh...
uh... line?.."---Yeah, I was terrible.

Wow... I was there when Jerry Rogers Stuck the fork in Bryce's leg for hitting on him at lunch, I laughed until I cried, Bryce just cried. My favorite Tom Clark story was probably when he and Brad Niedert nailed Adam Banker to the subfloor of a house we were building at GBT, by his nail apron. Chief was like,"get up boy, whats a matter with you"... and Adam with much frustration said, "I don't know Chief I think I'm stuck to the floor!"

or the time Tom got us (me, him, and Bryce) in trouble for peeing on a wet floor sign in the bathroom, that was the only paddling I got from Mr. Johnson in Highschool and the only one I wanted.

Or the many times he almost blew up the Ag department!

And if i remember correctly somebody mistakenly put Tom and Brice in the same spanish class...and Mrs. Agnew loved Tom and hated Brice or was it...loved Brice and hated Tom...does it matter really?!

Sorry to change the subject, but I was just thinking about prom. Wouldn't it be cool to use the same theme for the reunion - Wonderful Tonight?

Charity, This reunion has been a goal of mine for the last ten years and if anyone could pull it off its you. I can't thank you enough for this. To comment on the 4-H story that Walker told. I seen it with my own eyes, clark threw a piece of tile and the Findley, Doyle Gang war began. Those were some good times though. I can't wait to see the the entire class of 98.

Charity - You have done a great job and I'm sure everyone else can agree with me. Let me know if there is anything I can help you with. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in October.

Karma Briggs (Carter)

Thanks Charity for all of your hard work on getting this reunion together!!! You have done an absolutely wonderful job with this website. As for memories....Well the Tom Clark memory or maybe it was Brice Murphy...I have was not in high school but actually in Middle School...can't remember the teachers room but apparently one of them put a well let's say a protective piece (and yes it was opened) on the teachers chair...and they ended up getting suspended or detention or something like that. But for the life of me it's been so long I can't remember which one of the class clowns did it-does anyone happen to remember???
Oh and one more thing TYLER you use to be so mean!!! Remember when you would try to shove me in my locker?? LOL don't worry I forgive you. You were still short in 7th grade!!!
Anyways it's great to talk about old memories...and I can't wait till the reunion, it's going to be awesome as we were the class that always did it awesome! We were the class of 98!

04/02/08 10:20 PM #19

Tyler Mackie

Karma, Charity just confirmed that they are going to have lockers at the reunion incase you want to relive the old days! lol...

I don't even think that was me, I've always got blamed for other peoples pranks. That was probably Ryan Meadows or Brice Murphey, or more likely Tom.

04/04/08 04:51 PM #21

Karma Briggs (Carter)

OH no MR.MACKIE it was you that tried to shove me in my locker...lol...but since there will be some lockers at the reunion I'll have to shove you in one because I will be 8 months pregnant...so I WON'T fit!!! LOL. Besides you don't want to make a pregnant lady mad...just ask my husband!

Jackie Dunn (Atkinson)

Speaking of Middle School, who was it that jumped out of the window??? Mrs. Banister's room I think... I was in the other mod, but it was all over the school...
3 stories high... Brice???

Meredith Simpson

Thank you Charity for getting this all arranged for us. I know it was a lot to do and I am very grateful for you. My memory of Tom was the Angie DeLong shanking. If you do not know what I am talking about, you were under a rock or asleep or something. That is a classic. She was so embarassed and mad!

04/28/08 06:31 PM #24

Charity Pitman (Holman)

Hey Guys!! As you guested I am looking forward to the reunion, but I have not done this all on my own. Kristy Frazier, kathy Phillips and Brandi Ollis have been my "bank accounts" behind part of it and Karma has been tracking people for months. Thanks girls!!

Ok to just admit this and get it out in the open, apparently I have been wrapped up in getting addresses and stuff because I just now noticed today that people are posting messages!!!YAY!!!

I have had the most frustrating day at work but I started reading these and laughed so hard I cried!!

As Meredith put it, I must have been under a rock because I do not remember the Angie Delong incident with tom.I feel so left out!!!

Actually, I think I'm depressed now ...I have no stories, OH MY GOSH, what did I do in high school, I HAVE NO STORIES!!!!! Ok I will be back on here when I can think of something to redeem my high school career with!

Don't feel bad Charity I don't remember the shanking incident either...but I'm sure if it involved Tom it happened...poor Angie.

05/06/08 01:53 PM #26

Nicole Howard (Farley)

Yea, Charity, I don't remember the shanking incident either. Also, I don't remember anyone jumping out of Mrs. Bannister's window, and I had her for homeroom! I had no idea that we had this web site until about a week or two ago. I think it is great. You all have done an excellent job. I have really enjoyed looking at all the pictures; especially the kids - they're sooooo cute. I can't wait to see more of them.

Charity Pelham (Guy)

charity thank you for all the hard work you have put into our class reunion. it has been a long time and its so easy to lose touch with everyone even the ones that you were close to in school. i cant wait to see every one. if you need anything or any help at all just let me know. i see kristy and kathy alot just let them know if i can do anything at all. looking forward to seeing everyone.
