33 years of marriage
Raising two great sons
I have been an educator in Oregon and Washington for 25 years.
I have written 1 children's book and a great amount of poetry. Currently I am working on a empirical book about victoriously living with Adult ADHD and concomitant depression (the two greatest challenges and heart aches of my life)
I have been a Sunday School Teacher, Nursery Coordinator, Children's Church Coordinator, Disciple group leader nd Fantasy Friday preschool teacher.
My husband and I have traveled extensively in Europe. Asia, South Pacific and North America. We love, love, love both river and ocean cruising as well as traveling to National parks and National historic sites.
We have seen one son commit to marriage and have not lost him.
To conquer 24 years of impulsive cluttering in my home now that I am retired and have the time
To pay off debts in preparation for retirement
To find my niche in the volunteer world perhaps through grants allowing me to work with at risk and second language preschool children on pre-literacy and literacy readiness skills
To complete my book and organize my poetry into cohesive collections
To start a literacy tutoring home business.
To travel to the Arctic Circle and Antarctica.
To grow spiritually and in my marriage.
To maintain quality relationships with my sons and their families
To with my husband build a healthier more active life style
To grow as a poet and author
To travel as much as we can afford
To spend time gardening
To use hospitality and my home to connect with family and friends in meaningful ways
To continue to nurture my curious mind as a life long learner
Thank you for establishing and maintaining this, new to me, website. Thank you especially for the touching and inspirational memorial tributes to wonderful teachers and especially to my dad Albert Finley who I miss so very much. This may be my first visit to the Saxon website but it will not be my last. Thank you for posting my information with the rest of my class.
I fondly remember playing the part of Oscar the Grouch in the League of Dresden fall kick off skit. Unfortunately I remain undiscovered to this day..,
Sigh
I also have cherished memories of screaming myself voiceless as a Freshman at the Saxon's first winning football games and continuing to yell through a horse voice out the car windows all the way home!
