Mary Lanswerk Knudson

My first and last teaching job was in Stewartville, MN in the area of special education. I retired from teaching after 34 1/2 years. I now work in retail selling women's clothing. I bought a townhouse in Rochester in 2006 and my Jack Russell terrior, Josie, allows me to live in it with her! I enjoy reading, getting together with family and friends and antiquing. During the summer, I teach water aerobics at the Stewartville swimming pool.
I attended Waldorf Jr. College in Forest City, IA - received my AA
I attended Augustana College and graduated with a BA.
My son, Zak, lives and works in London and I went to visit him in February of this year. Part of the trip was flying to Rome to sight-see there. The trip was fabulous and I can't wait to go back again. Zak is single so I'm not a grandmother yet - I may have to check into adopting some grandkids!

I have fond memories of my school years in Spring Grove. Studying wasn't my strength, but I managed to get by. My favorite memory is probably going on our class trip to Washington, D.C.
