Comments:
After graduation, I attended Mississippi State University. I graduated in 1993 with a degree in Public Speaking/ Drama/ Education. Thank goodness I met and married my College Beau because I do not know what I thought I could do with that degree.
Roger and I got married in 1995 and lived in Columbus, Ohio while he attended Medical School at OSU. I worked at the Limited for 8 years during this time. After 4 long, COLD years in Columbus, we moved South.
We were blessed to be able to explore Charleston, SC where my husband finished his schooling. Charleston was a beautiful place to live, but no fun to work. It was so hard to work in a old, dark Mall when you drove over the beautiful Intercoastal Waterway lined with Palmetto trees and a shinning sun everyday. It was easy to say goodbye to retail hours while living there. At that time, we decided to have a baby. What a joy! God blessed us with 2 children. Eric is 8 and Anne Marie is 6.
Although, we loved Charleston, it was time for us to find a real home and better yet, a real job.
We have been settled in Acworth, Ga for 9 years. I started working in the school where my children attend as a Kindergarten teacher and what fun I had. Working was great, but thank God I took some time off to be a Mom again because our daughter was diagnosed with Juvenille Diabetes Type 1. It was a huge shock and life style change for the entire family. Seeing your 6 year old give herself 6 shots a day is very overwhelming. I thank God everyday for granting us the strength, knowledge and ability to care for her. She is doing great now and has adjusted to her new lifestlye. It is amazing how willing children are to change....it is me....since we cannot have any sweets, if I see a cookie...LOOK OUT!
Our children are very involved in sports, school and church. All of us enjoy playing tennis and golf. Georgia has been a great place to raise our family and call HOME.
