I got the sad news early Thursday morning that Dr.Winsome Clarke formerly Smith aka Smitty B, who contributed so much to the musical life of St. Mary High School, has died. She hadn't been so well recently, but there was nothing to suggest that death was imminent, so it's a shock.

She was a true educator, working hard, for several decades, to develop and improve the lives of the students she taught and supervised, first as a school teacher, and later as an education officer. Music was her life, and she was an ardent Christian.

She was a lady of class, who did everything with enthusiasm and never lost her sense of humour.

May the Lord comfort her daughter, Erica, stepson,Valentine, and her host of relatives, friends, associates, and former students. 

She has gone ahead of us to be with the Lord. We thank God for her life. We miss you, Aunt Winsome!
