On my bucket list for 40 years is the vacation to go to Hilton Head area; there are some military motel rooms on the beach that can be rented out cheap. Jimmy Carter told me you walk out your door onto the beach; Chaplain Jimmy Carter... not president. I may try to retire in a couple of years when I'm old enough and do the free military flights someplace and be prepared to pay to get back home commercial.

A part of HH island is insanely expensive.  The part past the guard gate.  HOA fees of $3k/month for the houses there.  Stayed a week w friends who rented one as a Airbnb.   Crazy.

Ted, the rooms were Military available (Navy) and were 18 dollars in 1989. Probably don't exist anymore. Michael, not challenging you punking us, but is that AI generated? If not, that is a crazy grandpa's haircut! I like it!

Great station to listen to Steve K. Unlike some of the others playing the same songs over and over. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions for summer get together? I would think some of thr snowbirds will be migrating back up to Minnesota. How about the back packing canoe guys? Are you doing your pilgrimage to the boundary waters? It's amazing how fast life goes by, you think you have a lot of time and you are reminded that your grandkids have games to watch...all of a sudden you say, oh I was going to do this or that, but you cherish every moment you get. So, Steve K. When you are down in Caledonia make sure you pick the right mushrooms as your Steppen Wolf songs may sound a bit different! As always good health and happiness!

thanks Bob for the warning about those certain mushrooms.. I haven't come across them yet ALTHOUGH we do stop at one of the Amish farms to buy their jam and jelly

The last week in May! Wow. Where does the months go? I'm thinking of putting a reward for anyone who can find the time. (By the way, the bad pun wasn't initially intentional).

here you go Dave

by the way, since it's May, we can have rhyme time or just pun fun

hmm, I'm hungry, time for din din

Steve, the best at puns (or the worse depending on your view of puns) is Steve and his dad Hank Hardy. They would crack me up. Happy June everyone!

Special thanks to Susan Perkins Sershen for letting us know.

My condolences to Bob Deneen's family.
As the years/days go by so quickly my hope was that our next get together would have been shortened. But the majority wanted to wait another 5 years. I don't know if that is because of tradition or cost or ? Maybe life throws so many things at us, like family time, grandkids, weddings, health issues, etc. I looked around and saw so many fun smiling faces at our last reunion.i wonder having many of us here in Minnesota and the return of the snowbirds if we couldn't get together. Does anyone have an interest? I had a chance to talk to Steve
Scholl and he still sings in a band. Perhaps going out to hear his band. Get together at a park? Open for suggestions.
Wishing all the June classmates a very Happy Birthday!

I posted a message this morning and it doesn't appear to be here. Does anyone know if he has a daughter or, maybe, niece, by the name of Amanda?

Steve, do you know the name of Steve Scholl's band?

Bernie, I don't know Steve Scholl's band name but I know your band

06/06/25 08:04 PM #2735

Steven Scholl

Steve Scholl now has utube channel under Steven Scholl. All songs are original covers
Last song, Up,Up,Down, was written after young gal ended her life over breakup with boy friend. Only wish she heard something like this song to change her actions. Also listen to Whiskey and wine, Bring Me Home, Alabama Girl and Dance and Kiss You. I do play with Grand Kids that are much more talented than yours truly. Steve Scholl
