George E. Gardone passed away January 7, 2013 at the age of 79. George was a lifelong resident of Stamford and former owner of Business Equipment Center. He enjoyed fishing and spending time by the water. His greatest joy was helping his son and step-sons with any improvements on their houses to make them their homes. Mr. Gardone is survived by his wife of 22 years, Patricia Ryan Gardone. He is also survived by his daughter, Estelle Cappelieri and her children; Alison & Brian. He is also survived by two sons, George and his wife Terry and their son Luke; Glenn and his wife Sharon and their sons Michael & Anthony. Mr. Gardone is also survived by 4 step-children; Donald Kane and his wife Linda and their children Trevor & Tyler; Todd Kane & Arlene Moavero and her daughter Morgan Arvoy; Susan Shea and her husband Michael and their children; Ryan, Amanda & Dylan; Christopher Kane & his wife Laurie and their children Sarah & Emma. George will be missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 4-8pm at The Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer St, Stamford, CT. A graveside service will be held Friday 11:30 a.m. at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery, Stamford. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in George’s memory to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
