Sheldon Irwin "Lee" Chandler, of North Palm Beach, passed on January 20, 2019, at the age of 85. Lee was born in New York to Louis and Molly Chandler. He is survived by his loving wife, Peggy; his beloved son, Todd; his former wife, Camille; his step-daughters, Lauri, Mindy, Tami (Donn), Connie; and their children, Sarah, Jess, and Trevor. Lee was a veteran of the United States Navy and Air Force. He served as a member of the Air Force Band. Lee was lifelong musician, playing and recording in New York, Connecticut, and South Florida. He spent 65 years as an instrument repair tech. Lee's great passion was teaching students of all ages to play the saxophone, clarinet, or flute. He was known throughout his career for his brilliant and beautiful tone on the saxophone. He is now "blowing a mean horn" in that big band in the sky. Burial, with Military Honors, were held on January 25 at South Florida National Cemetery. To sign the guestbook, and leave a condolence for the family, please visit www.northwoodfh.com
