William John Calabrese, beloved husband of Roberta (Bobbie); father of Robert and Christopher, grandfather of Nicholas and Jacob (Jake); and also survived by his daughter- in-law, Mary Calabrese, sisters -in-law, Nancy Winking and Sally Jarvis, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Bill died very peacefully Sunday evening Dec. 21st in the presence of his family and had been blessed and prayed for to the end. He was a US Air Force veteran and had worked as a Systems Analyst, most recently at MCI International, Armonk, NY, retiring in 1998. He was the author of eight books published through Wings Press, an e-book publishing company. Formerly of Stamford and Brookfield, he and his wife moved to Southbury 15 years ago. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 27th at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 910 Main Street South, Southbury. Calling hours: Sat from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the daily chapel of the church. Arrangements by Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury, CT.
