Arthur T. Cooke Jr.
Dec. 21, 1933 - Feb. 21, 2021
Aptos, CA
Arthur passed quietly on a Sunday evening after a valiant battle with cancer. Arthur is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 47 years, Monika, as well as his sister Patricia, and many adoring nieces, nephews, and friends. He is proceeded by his brothers George and James, and his sister Kathy.
Arthur was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, and after graduating high school joined the US Navy, serving as a quartermaster on the USS Pomodon, a submarine assigned to the Pacific fleet. Post enlistment Arthur earned a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley, a school he was very proud of, remaining an avid supporter of Cal Football for many years. After college Arthur started a long and successful career in commercial banking, ultimately retiring as a Senior VP at Bank of America.
Arthur loved California, the beach, golf, travel, but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Arthur will be missed by all that knew him and will be remembered for the class, warmth, and strength he always displayed.
