Master Gunnery Sargent Irving Davis
Retired Master Gunnery Sargent Irving Davis, former resident of Stamford, CT passed away on December 10, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 24, 1933 to the late Jessie M. Davis. He attended Stamford Schools and graduated from Stamford High School in 1952. He entered into the United States Marine Corp where he served for 30 years from 1953-1983. Irving made his permanent resident in Irvine, CA. He was predeceased by his wife Reiko Matsuyama of 50 years in 2008. Irving is survived by three children, Irene Hairston, (husband Jeff), Irving Jr. and John, also five grandchildren Britni, Parke, Tyler, Lucas and Lynsie and two sisters, Ms. Barbara Moore and Ms. Linda Davis and a host of nieces and nephews.
