HARRY J. RICHTER age 74, beloved husband of Patricia Caravella Richter, formerly of Greenwich, entered into eternal rest at his home surrounded by his family in Manassas, Virginia on April 23, 2008, after a short illness. Born in Stamford, CT on June 23, 1933 the son of the late Harry J. Richter, Sr. and Regina (Nurney) Richter. He later lived in Darien and Norwalk, CT. A graduate of Stamford High School and Fairfield University he was also a Veteran of the U.S. Army stationed in Germany for two years. In addition to his loving wife of 47 years Mr. Richter is survived by one son, John L. Richter, daughter-in-law Deborah of Burke, Virginia, two daughters, Patricia (Katy) Richter, and Elizabeth (Liz) Richter of Manassas, Virginia, two grandchildren, Samuel Richter and Anna Richter. Mr. Richter is also survived by two brothers, Charles F. Richter of Whitingham, Vermont and Frances E. Richter of Columbia Crossroads, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by four sisters, Mildred Downing of Tequesta, Florida, Jean McGrath of Stamford, CT., Regina Andrews of Bristol, CT. and Catherine Vigliotti of Yorktown Heights, New York and many fond nieces and nephews. Harry spent much of his career as a Computer Programmer, loved gardening and was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
