NICHOLAS J. SANTARSIERO, a lifelong Stamford passed away on November 29 2009 at the Stamford Hospital at the age of 77. He was born of February 15 1933, the son of the late Joseph N. Santarsiero and Jennie Rosa Santarsiero. He is survived by his devoted wife, Angelina A. Angotto Santarsiero. He is survived by his loving son, Joseph N. Santarsiero and his wife Sarah of Stamford; two loving daughters Jo'Ann Avalone and her husband John of Stamford, Jennie Kemp of Stamford; seven beloved grandchildren, Billy, April, Dennis, Kelly, Joey, Caitlan, Melanie; two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Brandon; his loving niece, Carmella Kruy; and his step-brother, Rocky Tolla of Florida. He was predeceased by his step-sister, Stella Romaniello. Mr. Santarsiero was a retired limousine driver for a private livery service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW Springdale CT Post 9617. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
