Lillian L. Robinson (Snookie) was born on November 23, 1933 in Stamford, CT and departed December 10, 2013, surrounded by those who loved her. She graduated from Norwalk Community College and also Marymount College. She was a 30-year employee of the City of Stamford, working in various capacities. She also worked part-time at the Smith House and the law firm of Cummings and Lockwood. She loved to travel and it brought her much joy as she ventured to such places as Alaska, Hawaii, West Africa and many countries in Europe. She was an expert and avid knitter, loved to shop and enjoyed a good stimulating debate on various topics. She is survived by her sister Carol L. Reid of Boston, MA, niece Dr. Naomi E. Lawrence-Reid of New York and various relatives in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Lillian was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Reid. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM followed by a service of celebration at 12:00 Noon at Downer Funeral Home, 31 Stillwater Ave., Stamford, CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Caring Hospice Services, 45 Church Street, Suite 203, Stamford, CT 06906.
