MARY ROMANIELLO, age 77, a lifelong Stamford resident passed away on Friday, July 22, 2011 at Stamford Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 14, 1933, the daughter of the late Frank Stolfi and Carmela Ecka Stolfi. She was predeceased by her husband, Rocco A. Romaniello Sr. She is survived by her beloved children, Rocco A. Romaniello Jr. and his wife, Irene of Stratford and Suzy Herrera and her husband, Victor of Stamford. She also leaves behind three adored grandchildren, Daniel, Nicole, and Cassie. She was predeceased by her brothers, Canio, James, and Leonard Stolfi; and her sister, Ann Conetta. Mrs. Romaniello was a member of the Rosary Alter Society at Sacred Heart Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
