JEAN KOSAKOWSKI OBITUARY

Jean Kosakowski
July 5, 1933 - March 29, 2023
Jean Kosakowski, 89, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on March 29, 2023 at Inspired Living at Hidden Lakes, surrounded by loving family.
Jean is survived by her four children, Judy (Brendan) Murphy, Donna Kosakowski, Frank Kosakowski Jr., Barbara (Jim) Lent, as well as her grandchildren Sean, Aniella and Conlan Murphy, Taylor Iorfino, Dan Fore, Hailey, Hunter, Sara and Chloe Lent, and her great-granddaughter Freya Murphy.
She was predeceased by her husband of over 52 years, Frank Sr., her parents George and Rose, as well as her sisters Rose and Ann.
Jean was Born in Stamford, CT, to George and Rose Yanyac on July 5, 1933. Jean went on to graduate Stamford High School in 1951. She worked as secretary for Wagner Pools and was a partial owner of F&J Food Service, Inc. with her husband, Frank Kosakowski, Sr. She also had her own ceramic studio and held classes with anyone who was interested in learning the craft.
Jean's greatest joy, however, was when family and friends would get together and create life-long memories. Pool parties, BBQs, or just stopping by to say hello would be a must. Putting her together with her sister, Ann, would ultimately bring non-stop laughter both with and at them. Jean was also passionate about the many pets she had over the years. She will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 14th, 11 AM at Church of the Holy Spirit, 403 Scoffieldtown Road, Stamford, CT, with Reverend Luke Suarez. Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, 124 Rock Rimmon Rd., Stamford, CT. Family and friends may visit at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford CT, on Thursday, April 13 from 4-7PM.
