Lewis R. Masotti died in his sleep on November 3, 2021 after an extended illness. He was Senior Vice President of finance and corporate development for General Waterworks Corp. based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he also served on the Board of Directors of the company. Before joining General Water Works Company, he was the head of the accounting systems division of Gilbert Associates, an international consulting firm based in New York City. Prior to that, he was Controller of Citizens Utilities Company based in Stamford, Connecticut.
He graduated from the University of Rhode Island School of Business with a major in accounting. He was a guest lecturer at Drexel University School of Business Administration. For the past 20 years, he has been enjoying his retirement in Florida. Lewis is survived by his loving wife Judy, his daughter Patricia, her husband Harold Smith and son Peter and his wife Corinne Masotti and daughter Carol. He was preceded by his son Richard. Also survived by his brother Robert P. Masotti, his wife Carol Jean and their children Laura, John and their previously deceased son David's wife, Lisa Masotti. He is also survived by his five adoring grandchildren: Peter V., Tina, Leanne, Melissa and Angela.
Viewing will be held at Palms West Funeral Home from 5 PM to 6 PM on Monday, November 8, 2021 with a Catholic service from 6 PM to 7 PM. The family request, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Saint Rita's Catholic Church.
