I have warm memories of Walter. He lived a few streets away from me in the Cove, and we were friends long before high school. A couple of years, his mom invited me to go with them to a vacation cabin during the summer for a couple of weeks, and we had a good time hanging out, playing pinochle and exploring the woods. In high school we were both on the soccer team. Walter went on to become an executive in radio broadcasting. He was a down-to-earth nice guy. --Myles Callum
