Carter Crews

Carter Randolph Crews, 89, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on March 11, 2022, after a battle with brain cancer. Born November 2, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, to Jesse R. and Wilma G. (Steele) Crews.

Carter is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mary F. K. Crews and his daughters: Debra Larsen (Dave), Nannette Dougherty (Paul), Victoria Crews, Jennifer McGraw (Brent) and Kathryn Linsley (Jason). Carter had 7 Grandchildren and 2 great Grandchildren. Brother of Nelson R. Crews and the late Alan Crews.

Carter graduated from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio.

He spent 43 years in the life insurance business. In retirement, he volunteered at SCORE, San Antonio, and served as local Chapter President. He was a member of the San Antonio Breakfast Club. A member of University United Methodist Church, where he served as President of the Foundation, Lay Director of the Alpha Program and taught Adult Sunday School.
