MARGARET (PEARL) JOHNSTONE RUSSO of Sun City Center, Florida entered into rest on May 20, 2005. She was born on April 23, 1933 in Kilsyth, Scotland and relocated to Stamford when she was 3 years old. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1951 and was crowned Miss Stamford at age 18. She was a wife and homemaker and was later employed by Jewelry by Jose Grant in Stamford and Norwalk Savings Society. She was a past member of the Stamford Junior Women's Club and a member of various clubs at Kings Point in Sun City Center.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 49 years, James; two daughters, Kathy Mack of Stamford and Mary Beth Minch of Sarasota, Florida; a son, Jay Russo of Scarborough, Maine, eight grandchildren; a sister, Bette Lehman of Camden, South Carolina, and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Amy; sister Janet Burns; two brothers, Alexander and Walter (Scotty) Johnstone; and her parents, Alexander and Jean Johnstone.

Calling hours are Thursday, May 26, 2005, 4-8 p.m. at Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. A memorial service will be held at Cognetta Funeral Home on Friday, May 27 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Post Road Darien.
