ROSE C. SANTANGELO - a Trumbull, CT resident, died Monday, August 29, 2005 at the age of 71. She was born February 9, 1934 in Stamford, CT. She is the daughter of the late Vincent & Margaret Ferrara Zaccagnino. Mrs. Santangelo was a secretary for the Stamford Board of Education for many years. She was formerly married to James R. Santangelo of Greenwich, CT. She is survived by her sons, Michael A. Santangelo of Prospect, CT, Robert Santangelo of Southbury, CT and James J. Santangelo of Seymour, CT, a daughter Carolyn Segrist of Saranac Lake, NY, a brother Dominick Zaccagnino of Stamford, CT and two sisters Louise Dellapoli of Milford, CT and Ann Martino of Stamford, CT and grandchildren Tim and Ben Santangelo. She is predeceased by her brother, Vincent Zaccagnino and a sister Beatrice Carevello.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Daniel's Farm Road, Trumbull, CT. Friends may call at the Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, CT on Thursday, September 1, 2005 from 5-8 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to: Connecticut Hospice, Homeport Cove, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405 or Covenant House, 346 West 17th Street, New York, NY 10011-5002.
