JAMES N. LORUSSO, 77, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully at home in Orange, CT on Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Born on June 11, 1933 in Stamford to the late James and Philomena Maiorano LoRusso. James was a retired truck driver, a Member of the Teamsters Union, Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church and the Gravinese Mutual Aid Society. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie H. Simmel LoRusso of Orange, CT, his loving children, Grace Anastasio and her husband William of Trumbull, CT, James LoRusso, III and his wife JoAnn of Norwalk and his brother, John LoRusso and his wife Rosemary of Stamford; loving grandchildren, Michael, Jeffrey and Robert DeVito, William Anastasio, Jr. , Daniel Anastasio, James LoRusso IV and Alexa LoRusso; loving step children, Lori Emmanouilidis and her husband Dimitrios, Peter Simmel and his wife Sherry and Michael Simmel and his wife Noreen; loving step grandchildren, Peter and Dimitrios Emmanouilidis, Zachary, Kristen, Carly, Conner and Megan Simmel including two great granddaughters, Lia and Samantha DeVito. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his former wife, Marie E. (Rello) LoRusso, sisters, Felicia Panucci, Judith Vozzella and brothers, Michael, Dominick, Louis and Nicholas LoRusso. A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 PM. The Nicholas F.
