Marie Gardone, a long-time Stamford resident died on July 5, 2011, one day after her 78th birthday, after a short illness.
She is survived by her sons, George and Glenn, her daughter, Estelle and her five grandchildren: Alison, Brian, Michael, Anthony and Luke.
She was a devoted mother and appreciated each of her children for their individuality. Her grandchildren were the loves of her life and she kept all of us clothed in Lord & Taylor's finest because her family was always on her mind. We were her friends, her companions, and her reason for living. She was our strength and support and was always there for us in times of need. She will be dearly missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is not suffering and is in a better place.
Her family will receive friends on Friday, July 8, 2011 from 8:30 -9:30 AM at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St. Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford.
