Tracy Lampela Keirns

This will be my 11th year teaching at Amesville. When Debbie Burke found out I had been hired at Federal Hocking, she said "Oh hell, there goes the district!"

I refuse to grow up and act my age.

I have 5 tattoos. 6 earrings. 1 nose piercing.

In order to keep my students excited about learning I have done some very "odd" things.

*I have dressed up in a gorilla costume with a grass skirt and coconut bra to promote our literacy luau.

*I dyed my hair purple when a student met a goal we had set.

*I made a bet at the end of the school year with a student. If she passed the achievement test I will be starting the new school year with a new haircut...a mohawk.

*I am known around the school as the "Evil Diva" and I DJ the good behavior reward sock hops.

*I built all of the school carnival games that we use now.

*I will continue to come up with wild and crazy ideas to motivate students to do their best, and to make my classroom a place where my students are comfortable and willing to learn.
