Retired after 43 year career with the YMCA that started as a lifeguard at the old Streator YMCA, ending on the YMCA of the USA national staff in Leadership Development consulting with YMCA's in the western United States. Currently serving as a volunteer President of the Friends of Peregrine Parks and Open Spaces caring for parks and trails in northwest Colorado Springs. Member of City of Colorado Springs, TOPS Working Committee (Trails, Open Space and Parks), Board of Directors of Trails and Open Space Coalition. Spent a year serving as Executive Director for National Mill Dog Rescue, an organization that rescues breeding dogs from puppy mills.
