Marianne Menzie Welker

After attending Illinois Wesleyan for one year, I transferred to Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH, from which I graduated in l964 with a BS in Education. I taught elementary school in rural Michigan, married, divorced, and raised four children as a single parent. I pursued a variety of occupations while continuing graduate courses in education. In l92 I relocated to Indianapolis, IN, where I taught in the inner city and served a leadership role in the National Urban Alliance. In 2000 I became a teacher of gifted elementary students in a suburb of Chicago, IL. where I lived until my r retirement. I now live in Pittsburgh,PA, where I am a member of the condo board.
